ReggieC Posted October 10, 2022 Share Posted October 10, 2022 Messed it up 😬 Went to tighten the barrel nut on my 12-17mm adaptors as they were loose and one snapped. Was never happy with them in the first place but wasn't expecting this Tried a few non-destructive ways of getting it out but unfortunately no luck. So it was out with the Dremel. Finally got it off, but the stub axle on my driveshaft is pretty chewed up and I'm not happy running it. Struggling a bit with places to run though. Already lost 2 x good places to housing developments and my usual woods had a few trees down which has shrunk my usual hooning area. Popular Post ReggieC Posted October 19, 2022 Popular Post Share Posted October 19, 2022 After watching a lot of Popalong RC and all the touring car racing they do, I thought I'd pull the SST99 pro out of the shed that I've not touched since it a lipo fire. When I bought it it came with most of an SST Axis for spares and at one point I tried to combine the 2 to get a working car and failed. Typical me from back in the day, there's nothing separated and lots of bits missing. Didn't take a photo of the starting mess unfortunately. A bit of time later I ended up here. Between eBay and Schumacher direct, I think I've got all the parts missing on the way to get it running. The two on the left are FDM PLA (no infill) , the next two are SLA Tough resin and the original on the right: Holding an SLA print over the original looks about right: The SLA has a bit more flex than the original and the FDM feels about right. I'm expecting the SLA to be quite brittle too.
