Also swapped the 50t spur out for a 46t as per @Kpowell911 recommendation. The removed spur will be kept as it’s in good condition still just incase I decide to gear down again in the future. Was still a very wet run out though and annoyingly ended up rolling it onto its side in a very deep puddle, as result I need to remove the light lenses to clean the water out. Ended up keeping it as Banggood offered some money back and that made it more tempting to keep. Lots of power but it does become a game of keeping up the momentum as if it stops then getting going again can be a challenge with the cogging. Guess this model shows the real QA and honesty of WLToys as there is no way it should have been released as it stands. My first and probably last WLToys but it was only a stop gap for my LC Racing which is coming up to 9 months since I ordered!! Very autumnal with the leaves…… I took my X Maxx (which lasted 3 mins before the pinion came Loose…..), two of my Maxx’s (one for me one for my Mrs) and a friends X Maxx….. Also got to play with the Sky RC GPS. Quite impressed with my Maxx, safely geared on 4S with a Max 8/2200kv combo: Think the new Maxx I picked up may need the diffs looking at. Spent maybe 12+ hours odd working on my Losi SBR 2.0 this weekend; Stripped it down, cleaned, replaced the remaining standard diffs with GPM aluminium ones filled with heavier fluids, changed over half the bolts for stainless steel ones, adjusted the suspension settings/ride height and then refitted everything back together. Very happy with it now ~ standard diffs shockingly were all almost completely empty of oil (see picture below of front diff where oil had all but completely leaked out!). 😮 Another GPM aluminium diff ready for fitting (this one was for the centre) Also added a Traxxas waterproof RX box to protect the receiver as standard it is just open to the dirt/water elements etc. Painted the calipers with gold spray paint and clear lacquer as I didn't think the red standard calipers suited the truck.
