Redback Posted February 20, 2021 Share Posted February 20, 2021 Lad bent the rear axle shaft on this outlaw and the brand new sway bar he installed yesterday snapped at the same place lol. My outlaw spat the driveshaft pins, then ate its transmission. So back to the custom one that isnt a pile of garbage 😛 Worked a little on the speed project, sorting out another ftx model thats got drive train issues, the banzai likes to bend slipper shafts due to the drive shaft vibrating at high rpm. A 2nd motor mount acting as a bearing carrige holding the drive shaft cup seems to be the fix, just got to find a way not to loose so much battery tray. 3 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Should have known it would be pink. I’m a bit disappointed with how it turned out, needed another coat of pink before backing it. Got a tin sat for ma bug but concerned that the cap colour looks a bit bubblegummy! No quite as vibrant as ah'd like. Popular Post James.S Posted February 21, 2021 Popular Post Share Posted February 21, 2021 Took the Quantum MT Flux out for a bash at some chalk pits 15 minute drive from my house. Awesome place for some proper heavy RC bashing. The Quantum performed superbly. I ran two 5200mah 2s packs & two 5000mah 3s through it and didn't break a single thing! The HD axles (also with the bigger washer mod) & HD driveshafts all held up brilliantly. None of them buckled at all after at least a 2 hour session of big jumps, heavy nose landings, roof landings, cartwheels etc. I'm very impressed with this car and would go as far to say that, contrary to popular belief, these are very durable models. You just need the stronger axles and driveshafts and you're good to go 👍 Didn't get any pics on location unfortunately but I will do on the next trip (hopefully next weekend) but here's what she looked like afterwards. The bodyshell has seen better days now but im so impressed that nothing got broken after the amount of abuse I gave it. Used nearly the whole can and it was still quite see through. The silver does show through but it gives it a cool effect.
