What did you do to your model today?

Made some 3.5mm female to 4mm male motor to esc cables for the old SP 17.5t brushless motor ive got.

Fitted said motor to my Schumacher sst rally with a 24t>83t setup for the initial gearing test.

So just awaiting an esc and tweak to the steering, and it should be ready for its new life as brushless.

Shattered a gear in the cnc mini mill while machining a part :crybaby:

Looking like there's no replacement gears anywhere so I'm screwed. :banghead:

Ordered these to try and fit: Might be down for weeks!

Will see but these may be better:

If anyone here has any ideas my specs are:

30T

Module 1.5

10mm bore

4mm keyway

48mm total diameter (give or take)

10mm overall thickness

Help!

Ive a few cogs for the lathe i'll have a look tonight.

Got any mates with a 3d printer? Probably an hour or two modelling and same again for printing.

Also worth checking thingiverse and places like that incase others are already sharing a model.

Finally ot all 3 of my electric 1/10's working:

DSC01566.jpg

The Speed Passion (in front) just needed the electrics properly velcroing down, and now it works very well. Also found it to be pretty durable.

The left hand HPI Bullet Needed a new servo mount plate cut to fit better, and a few minor alterations.

The Right hand HPI Bullet needed a new centre dogbone making, and again, a few other alterations.

Also gave them all a good run, and now charging battteries ready for some more fun tomorrow.

Bashed them all. Spent a few hours up on the old coal screens and even introduced my dad to the world of RC. Think I know what to get for his 70th birthday in a few months now.

Another afternoon out with the boy yesterday  If anyone is down south around the Brighton area, Stanmer Parks forest area is a cracking bashing spot!

Glad we had two fully charged packs each as we were there for a good hour and a half and it was loads of fun!

Just out of interest where did you get those wheels? I'm making do with some spares I had which aren't offset on the front on my stampede and like the looks of these.

Cheers chap. Spoke to them and quoted £28 for a gear to be made.

Asked about pulleys too for belt converting and to have 2 those came in at £95.

The bearing boys hostaform gears fitted with a minor mod   I have a spare one for next time too. Think I can live with those for now at £7 each.

If I can sell some stuff to cover it I'll be getting the pulleys from HPC at a later date :)
