Looking good. 50 to 80t motors work best for scale speed from experience. The oil filled shocks are nice but totally unnecessary, if you put a trailer and load on they do next to nothing.

2.5 turns is the best base line I've found then 1/16 or 1/8 turns either way until it runs. They are super annoying little engines. Rewarding when you get it right though.

The more channels the better. I run 6 as a minimum, 3 are taken up by driving controls, throttle, steering and gears. Depending on what sound and light you go for dictates the rest. Flysky 10 Channel is popular at my local club but its down to you personal preference on radio gear.

That would work much better than my tatty old crushed one from work. Fingers crossed.

More progress Having not been impressed with some of the parts I purchased I decided to 3d print my own servo mount. 2nd print and it was spot on. Cab is now mounted as is the gearbox, gearbox still needs it higher turn motor fitting but lots more mock up to come first. Rear wings are sat there as an option but don't think I'm using those. Made a start on the body using the good old Bruder as a base. Need to extend the drop and make some serious changes once I get a few materials together.

How did you find the servo mount? I'm using the 2nd steer set up from KK truck store along with there longer rails and I'm a bit disappointed by the accuracy and finish of the parts.

Drive axles fitted today. Built up and fitted a centre cross member complete with prop centre bearing. Took a bit of tweaking but got it to sit central. Then to cut the new shafts. These are extra speed shafts and to say how cheap they are they are very well built and incredibly strong. Here you can just see the shafts fitted. I will get some better pictures when I can but time ran out today.

Bit more done over the last couple of days. First axle is mounted up. Took a fair bit of fiddling to make it all work. It is rather disappointing that the rails and steering parts listed as tamiya compatible are far from it. The front suspension mount fouls the steering. Bit of 3d printing saved the day. Might need a bigger temporary home for it. 2nd axle fitting was a repeat of the first. Apart from the fact the 2nd axle is in backwards I'm fairly pleased. Gearbox is offered in to check for clearance.

This will be a slow burn build. I was intending to do it over this coming winter but I needed a stress relief from work. Parts are slow to arrive too so most bits are coming from my stash. I started with a set of KK truck store rails, these are stainless and are nice enough if a little off in some drillings. Built up using Tamiya Cross members. 2nd steer linkage fitted, fits up nicely to the chassis but needs a little tidy up to get it to function smoothly.

After a fairly long break from truck building I have decided it time to try a project I've been thinking about for a while. Some of you may remember my Blue Scania build, well it has sat on the shelf gathering dust because I just don't think it's 100% right. So I started with this and ended up with this I have big plans including longer chassis rails, extra axle, lots of custom work and the ever faithful Bruder trailer but used in slightly different way.

Think this nothing but work and bed is getting to me. Attended a breakdown today, guy started giving me some grief over how long it was taking to repair as he Needed his cigarettes that were on the truck. I'm afraid I lost my cool. Managed to walk away before I regretted my actions. When will people realise its not just the NHS that's under pressure, we are over 50% of our staff down and pushing record breaking volumes of stock out the door to shops. We are all on salary so no overtime or extra pay. We are living at work to protect our families. I really feel like chucking myself into isolation for 14 days and walking away from it all. Rant over, time to have something to eat and push on.

That will never happen in our house. She has a whole room for storing it in and the over spill is in the loft.

You sure are a key worker, paramedic cars etc will be hammered hard these next few weeks. You guys with the parts will play a key role in the whole process.

My usual days are 12 to 14 hours. Because we are a small team they have decided to split us into shifts of 2, no over laps, no physical hand overs and time for a cleaning crew to go through the practical areas between shifts. My parents are slightly older with my dad being just over 70. I made the tough choice not to visit them as soon as this started to escalate. I shop for them and take them meals but it's left inside their gate and I phone as I leave. Difficult times but common sense will help us through.

Only you can make that choice. If you are fit, healthy and under 60 years of age the risks are said to be minimal. I'm not a Dr so don't know, what I do know is for the next 4 weeks I will be working 7 days a week 8 hours a day to keep the supply chain wheels rolling.

It was pre lock down as we now know. Good bunch of guys on there today. Explained the reasons for them being posted. Major supply hubs are being protected as terrorism is still a major threat according to the Commanding officer. Not sure and can honestly say I don't care at the moment. Head down and get on with it for the time being.

Can't say I'm surprised. After the weekends farce with people treating it like a bank holiday weekend those of us with half a brain new it would be soon. 7 to 14 days times cases will rise sharply no doubt. Business as usual for me, just had all leave cancelled and emergency rota issued to help us socially distance, basically fewer staff and short shifts. Let's hope it buys the health service the time it needs. Probably won't get on for a while so hope everyone stays safe and well.

Had a quick chat with some gentlemen wearing green today as they set up portacabins on our industrial estate. Yes you guessed army check points. Our estate houses our million square foot food warehouse and several smaller pharmaceutical warehouses. As we left tonight we had armed guards in both check points and a massive police presence. Never been scared to go to work before but must say I'm uneasy leaving home in the small hours tomorrow. Haven't told the wife as she is worried enough as it is.

I work for a retailer and the supply of goods is still strong. Our logistics teams are flat out but we just can't meet the demand. Relaxation of drivers hours will help but we really need everyone to calm down and buy sensibly. Major supermarkets are struggling for stock around us but smaller local shops are doing fairly well local to us.

Can't see Brexit planning have much to do with it. Not everything is political. People are scared by the lack of factual information, too little has been done to provide this I agree but the government didn't suck out peoples common sense or morals. People needing to self isolate should be supported by their communities but due to the current digital trend I dare bet there are many people who never speak to their neighbours let alone know their names. Our street is about 50% bungalows full of the more mature, not one of them has need to shop if they do not wish too as the rest of us are supporting them. It's really not hard and things look to get worse.

People are going crazy, 2 drivers hurt today whilst trying to deliver to stores. People trying to grab goods before they are even off loaded. Warehouse is full to bursting, in bound deliveries are waiting all the way out the yard and out bound are completely flat out. Like every other retailer we are doing our best, just wish people would use some common sense, pull their heads out of the Facebook pages of doom and calm down. We will not run out of food, we will keep delivering.

We operate food logistics, being asked to work as long as possible but with precautions. Not to bad for us in the workshops as we can isolate from drivers and we all wear gloves. We are all committed to doing our best to keep operational as we supply some remote stores and many areas where elderly people rely on their local shop. Very concerning though, could be a very challenging time for the whole country.

Im fairly sure they don't make the team infinity engines anymore. From what I read they were pretty poor. If you want to try a clutch on it then I suggest going on to Black Smith's products site, they are great for price and service and there is a guide on there to help you find the correct pattern clutch. If you want to spend on the buggy then the SH .18 engine fits as this is what the later condors come with. I have one and it's been great but we built it from a kit and it has been well maintained, there are plenty of horror stories with condors though. Before dumping loads of cash on it I suggest you download the manual and go through it carefully. Manuals for the condor and the infinity engine are available on line if you Google it.

I run a couple of 1060 in my trucks with 55t motors no problems.
