  1. Fair enough. Sometimes they are just not strong enougo for what you want.
  2. Have you got a link please
  3. What are you going to do with it then. Surely it is worth getting a few metal parts (and ESC if that is needed) to sort the issues, and keep enjoying it. Or was it not that good when it was working either? Looked really good on Mike's youtube
  4. He says max 5. It is not branded as hobbywing, but an 8S 200 amp ESC that looks like that, we all know has just had the hobbywing label pulled off (at least I hope someone it not copying them)
  5. If as he said the outer face can be removed then isn't that the only bit you really need to paint as that is the visible parts, and therefore it would be pretty easy to paint the wheel separate to the tyre. What build are you planning in 1/32?
  6. Yeah, they are all fine. What radio are you using? I have an absima CR3P and they do some very good waterproof receivers for them. At £20 they are a bit pricey, but if you know your car is going to get a regular submerging they are super. I also use the flysky receivers which are £5 each but not waterproof, and like you say just dry them out after and they work again. just I know that the flysky ones work with the absima radio, so I suspect the absima waterproof ones work fine with a flysky and work through the wet. I once found my car upside down in a small stream, water up to the chassis. As I said earlier, only issue was the lipo alarm, everything else was fine (using the waterproof rx's that is)
  7. I don't bash in the rain, but I am quite happy to drive through the bigger puddles and mud. It just means that when you finish give it a wash with clean water, squirt some oil at the bearings to displace all the water so they don't seize and let it dry. Just makes sure your electrics are waterproof. I have some super Rx's for my absima which are properly waterproof. They have been fully submerged and not cared. The biggest issue I have with the wet is the LiPo alarms go haywire, detect extra cells and all sort of madness. Otherwise everything holds up fine.
  8. This has now been sold so mods, please close this thread. Thanks
  9. I am a student in 6th form at the moment. Means I have very little money for the hobby. Plus I have other even more expensive hobbies.
  10. What would you be happy to pay for it, just give me an offer and I can think about it.
  11. Yep, still around. Here you go:
  12. Ok, thanks. I will have a look at that now, and see how much of a mess I can make of it!
  13. Please Close this thread. If anyone was watching these, due to a last minute plan change I had to end them, as I would have been unable to post them when I said I would. I will be re-lisitng these in a week or 2, but feel free to PM if you are interested.
  14. Bump, anyone interested? Even slightly?
  15. Hi everyone, I have several bodies for various cars of mine that are badly damaged. This is through lots of high speed crashes and the usual abuse I give my cars. I was wondering if there is a way to fix big cracks in the lexan and if so how would I do this? Or should I just chuck the body and get a new one. I am not looking for a perfect finish, I have a new body for my Savage XL that is fibre glass, just I would like to fix this so I have a bashing one for use on roads, that I don't mind about getting a gravel rash on the roof from the inevitable flips and rolls. Similar with my Bullet shells, they have a few cracks, and I am not bothered about looks, just I would rather put £30 into some other parts that improve performance or fix broken parts rather than get a new body. Thanks The Crack in the Savage XL Shell:
  16. Looks like it is coming on really well, and going to be a blast. If I were you I would use a waterproof receiver and stick it to the chassis between the motor and ESC, but that is just my preference (as long as the servo lead would reach). Is that spur gear plastic or metal? looks like plastic to me, but I feel like a model like this it would be metal. Maybe I do need to sell all my Bullets and a few other parts to get one of these. It looks really tough and well built. Enjoy
  17. Not as much used for RC's, this is more for building my racing lawn mowers, hence the engines and gearboxes lying around. It has proved very useful for RC things though, like building my own dogbones, savage motor mount and all my other modifications. Yes, that is a lawn mower chassis on the right and the rear axle on the workbench. Not bad for a teenager right, I break all the steryotypes, I know. If people are interested I can show you how that mower is going, but it is quite off topic.
  18. It has been pretty good for me, and I have made it very powerful, got most of the issues out of it and the such like. I mean, I don't take it easy. I am using a Tenshock X802L and Max8 ESC so not exactly taking it easy. What electronics are you using/does it come with? I am tempted at the moment. If I can get similar performance but better reliability that would be good, just don't have that much money.
  19. That looks really tough and mad. May have to sell my HPI Bullets to get one of these. It looks just as mad as my powerful Bullet, but just did not seem to break like mine would.

I have a Hobbywing Quicrun 8BL150. Currently got XT150's on the power wires and I think 6mm (might be 6.5, whatever the normal around there is) motor connections. £55 including postage and paypal fee's if you want it. PM me if you are interested.
  21. OK, no worries. Enjoy it
  22. Very pretty. Looks like it needs some snow to play around in, although I am sure you could have fun with it anyway. Enjoy and keep us updated as to the fun you have!
