Worked my way through this lot, refreshing the diffs and dampers with new fluid.

 

Also knocked up some uber-cheap mud guards out of an old plant pot

Been busy with my x2 over the last couple of days whilst I waited for a exhaust mount for my baja
Rebuilt the rear diff

Rebuilt the rear shock

NRP long travel shock tower and rebuilt front shocks in to rears. So I know run rears on the front
Chopped the chassis for more ground clearance

Changed the housing on the 34reed ready to go in

Bartalone skip plates

Matched the exhaust header to the head
Job done....... for now

I'm waiting for a motor then its ready to go... However, its my birthday and they did a collection for me and I got £102. I was genuinely shocked and overwhelmed. I would have been suprised if I got a card and some beers! So I decided to treat myself to a Futaba S9373SV servo which is very cheap on RC Mart at the mo @ $126. The logic is I have top electronics in this chassis (Which is discontinued) I can just pull them out at put them in a Losi 8ight for example.

May want to ditch the Boom Racing steering links in favour of SSD or Vanquish... Chances are any hard hits will have that bent pretty quickly.

With the kind of running i'll be doing, don't think i'll be bending it any time soon - seems pretty solid. I'll see how I get on!

Ahh, if very very slow running then it might be okay I bent one very quickly, also found it sticks out quite a lot more than others and gets hung up.

The plan is for some fast-walking pace trail runs while I walk the dog. Thanks for the tips, i'll bare this in mind when it bends! Maybe it'll save the servo

Got the Outlaw out of the box, it got the thumbs up from the 8month old and the 2.5year old [emoji1]

Started to give it a once over when they where in bed, filled the front shocks, really need to get some silicon oil as all i had was to 15+ year old Mardave hydraulic shock oil of an unknown grade (any suggestions on weight i should get would be welcomed)

depends on how you like it and how you will drive it, I would say around 40 maybe, I will try those on mine, I think the best is have a couple different W to try and see what suits you better.I

Ordered a really expensive clutch and a servo horn for the Contrast.
