  1. Glow plug ignitor fully charger? Glow plug glowing nice and bright?
  2. Great captures. Impressed especially with the last one.
  3. It isn't the flywheel that's getting stuck its the piston and sleeve and I'm guessing that your engine is still new if so the tolerances inside are still going to be very tight, even more so when it is cold. Its always a good idea to pre-heat a nitro engine before trying to start it as this will expand all the metal surfaces and make starting much easier.
  4. I wouldn't right that engine off yet. The reason that it is stiff right at the top of its stroke is due to whats called 'pinch'. The sleeve has a slight taper towards the top which 'pinches' the piston at TDC to create a seal and compression in the combustion chamber. Without 'pinch' the engine would run like a bag of spanners if at all. So if yours is tight at the top that is fine, that is how it is supposed to be.
  5. See I was wondering if the piston was right at the top of its stroke when it was turned off. If it was, as the engine cooled the piston and liner would have become stuck together effectively locking the engine up. I'm sure I had this situation happen on an old TS4N and that's what the problem was.
  6. Can I ask, after you had run the engine and it had gotten hot, when you shut it off did you wind the piston to the bottom of the bore or just turn it off and leave it to cool down?
  7. Dont know if you have seen this but it is the engine manual for the mac28. Page four lists the base settings for the engine. http://www.cmldistribution.co.uk/product/HBM6-ER/files/HB_Engine_settings_MacStar_28.pdf
  8. 1. Tamiya Monster Beetle - for pure nostalgia. First proper RC i ever owned. 2. Hyper 7 - fast, tough, cheap and bags of fun. Ive built two brushless ones and they both fantastic. 3. KM Baja - brutal power and very loud. Has cost me loads but it has been worth it. 4. Brushless Lunchbox - fun basher and fast enough to keep you on your toes. 5. MTA4 S50 - big loud and very fast, killed by lack of parts availability. Real shame. I just want to throw in my least favorite RC which was a HSP nitro buggy. It was the biggest pile of junk I ever owned. I wasnt expecting miracles but this thing broke literally every single time i tried to run it. Actually no, I did manage to get one full tank out of it without anything breaking but every other time it was game over. Sold for parts in the end.
  9. Really annoyed with myself. Managed to lose a brand new pair of Hyper 7 steering arms that were for my mates car. Looked everywhere i can think of and no sign of them. Id like to think that i havent accidentally binned them but i am beginning to wonder now :ack:

  10. This is the one I use http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Hobbywing-Program-Card-For-XERUN-EZRUN-QUICRUN-Brushless-ESC-86020010-/191809636331?hash=item2ca8bec7eb
  11. Im running a Quicrun 150 esc, HPI Alphastar motor and a 17t pinion. It is fantastic fun on 3s and insanely quick on 4s. Id like to try more but there is a 4s limit on the motor. Id definitely recommend servicing and refilling the diffs, it made a night-and-day difference to mine.
  12. Fingers crossed my new shell arrives tomorrow so i can paint it before i go on holiday.

  13. Has anyone got one of these tyres or wheel and tyre going spare? Managed to blow one of off the rim lol. thanks
  14. Tamco TAC330 2.4ghz tx for spares or repairs ONLY. Aerial is damaged and has a logic board fault where you would move the sticks and the car would respond about 3-4 seconds later and the range dropped to about 10 feet before signal was lost (fault wasnt caused by the broken aerial). The sticks, switches and screen are all working fine though so could be used for spares in another tx. £12 inc post. buyers pays fees.
