  1. Im also after a Cross rc 6x6. The XC6 is more my bag though.
  2. @johninderby nice. got these on my xmas list now! https://www.digikey.co.uk/products/en/tools/screw-and-nut-drivers-sets/249?k=precision hex
  3. Buy the old firestorm layshaft (brushed) and fit a team associated slipper setup. the setup is better (it actually supports the spur gear....) and you can run associated spurs which dont seem to destroy themselves. Also the associated spurs are in stock.... check the blitz owners thread. im sure the part numbers are in there somewhere....
  4. They look beautiful! Whats the damage walletwise to us mere listeners?
  5. no worries dude. give me a pm if/when and we'll discuss...
  6. i have a load of cvds and bearings going spare now ive sold my hyper
  7. STRC Blow Out Sale http://www.teamstrc.com/index.php?route=product/category&path=155 got loads of cheap Blitz stuff
  8. STRC BARGAIN SALE http://www.teamstrc.com/index.php?route=product/category&path=155 some super cheap blitz parts in there.... edit all the savage parts are a dollar!!!
  9. Think I've sorted the 3 racing spur issue. Got some 9x5x4mm bearings on the way and I think the associated slipper pads will work fine though weirdly I only have one.... will have a go at building it into the spare gearbox this evening...
  10. Soooo..... 3 racing spurs have turned up. they dont fit the stock slipper setup... not even close! however with a minor amount of work i can get them to fit the associated top shaft.... I just need some slipper pads with a 9mm centre hole. i think the hpi jumpshot ones will work. anybody got one they could measure for me? we'll see. Luckily I discovered I had a spare 88t spur in the spare gearbox that I thought was ready for overhaul.... so now I can go racing tomorrow!
  11. Some escs with a built in adjustable BEC can be adjusted to suit your servo. Other than that you would need a BEC such as the Castle Creations one to acheive the full use of the servo. However they are still an upgrade on the stock one by a country mile even with 6v. still waiting. slowest plane ever....
  12. I forgot to add she sports one of the bluebird full ally case servos. BMS 23a. Very fast on 6v. I havent had the chance to run it on 7.4 yet.... And it'll take 8.4v too... BTW I noticed 3 racing make some upgraded spur gears for this and the firestorm so I've ordered a few (5) to see how they fair. Cant be any worse than the stock hpi ones surely?! Should be here sometime this week so I'll report back once I've given it full 3s beans for a few packs....
  13. Bit of both. racing isn't serious or that competitive where i go but its good fun
  14. Yup! all day long! Wheelies on tap, big slides! Not checked the top end but it kept up with a completely stock nero on 6s....
