  7. If someones threatened to smash your stuff with a claw hammer,I personally would report him to the cops. Then they've got it on record that the bloke was drunk & threatening. So if he gets all arsey again ,you can call the cops,or retaliate as you see fit

  10. Putting name to oneside as I dont know whats a good or bad name out of the 100s of manufactures out there My observations of the car. Metal floor pan Felt solid Suspension townrs looked and felt robust Motor and esc ... well we will see Steering servo 10kg Gearing covered Waterproof electronics Spares seem readily available from a jumber of places Lots of adjustment to tinker with Must admit I dosent have a slipper clutch Yes there were others but all out my price range iwas willing to spend as its a hobby I am not sure if it will be shelved and not to ott for the kids usw over the park. Perhaps when I am more happy that i will join a club and race. Then I qont mind spending out on something quality and then leave this one for the kids Sent from my GT-I9505 using Tapatalk

  12. Basically...you can buy from CML ... but, only if the item is still being made and imported. Which in this case it isn't. As mentioned above, websites are often out of date, and just becuase it exists on the page, doesn't mean you can actually buy it. I went around hte houses with CML trying to buy a shell for my Savage. In the end...I was told they could get it if Proline list it on their website, but not otherwise. It disappeared off their website shortly after I confirmed it was out of production. As far as 1/8 SCs go...they were never that popular. 1/10 was the scale for racing, and that is pretty much all there is. It's a shame, as the SC8 was a nice looking car. If you are determined, though, you could do what Bez did .... he got a 1/8 truggy chassis and attached 1/8 buggy arms. Then topped it with an SC8 shell. He used a HongNor, but it would work just as well with a Hyper 7 and Hyper ST I reckon. The diff housings and bulkheads are interchangeable. The buggy arms should be shorter. Then top it off with a suitable shell.

  14. The best advice for all those who are interested in going racing is to go to either a National meeting or to a club day at Aldershot/Southend/Cotswolds. You'll be able to chat about it with anyone there, they can give you time to answer your queries. If you're wanting a chat on the forums, then you need to go to moto-5.com as this is where the racers are to be found. Ask what you like there, you'll get the answers you need. We all were new to bikes once so no one will bat an eyelid when you ask the basic questions. The bike crew are the best friendliest bunch around!

  15. Very recently I made a website to promote the racing we occasionally have at Millais school http://millaisracing.webs.com/ 4 x 5 minutes of qualifying and 6 minute final... All with the spectacular grippy foam tyre There is a picture of my car on the home page, although it's still rocking the Enetti 26mm foams on it as they were still in good shape for the meeting. Since then they got chunked and hence why now using the Contact tyres until they are worn through, or chunked....

  38. Ya see, that's the problem I have when it comes to other 1/8 truggys - the losi 8T, serpent, mugen mbx6t (which I've always liked the look of) plus all the others out there - I've got my ST and its hardcore, its absolutely perfect - yeah she's a bit old and a bit of a fatty but I love her other truggys haven't got anything to offer me One day I might trade her in for a younger model but for now she'll do Bit like my missus really (Quick edit) If I did trade in my missus I'd probably only get some nitrotek branded crap out of it... I mean... is it worth it? Probably

  39. hello Tami again. so here you are, thinking of maybe building your own quadcopter BUT your very unsure on how best to decide what motor you should use. so let tami show you how he chooses his motor and what his train of thought is. i built the frame have a controller thingamybob and some 20a esc's but what motor would i buy and why. so first off wee want to know how heavy we think our machine will be. let us say its 800g a few digits away from a kilo in weight. now lets look at this image this prop layout is for the sunnysky 2212 980kv now we will use a 3s battery so 11.1v , above you will see 11.1v and the prop sizes 10x4.7 / 11x4.5 / 9x4.7,reading left to right you can see we also have amps drawn thrust generated RPM and also power in w the very last reading is how efficent they are now notice how propsize also affect the amps , if we have 20a esc we want to really keep below 10a so we will say we have 20a esc;s fitted so 9x4.7 props with 3s will give us 9.6 amps thats about half what our esc can handle. now our quadcopter weights 800g and if we read across we can see one single motor will produce 680g of thrust ( lift) so thats good but what we are going to do is double our weight, we want punch ( if we did not doubleup full throttle would get you just hovering ) so we need to double our quads weight. to 1600g now 4x motors will give us (680x4) 2720g, well over what we really want. we could add a little more weight say fpv gear and not worry much at all. so there we go thats how Tami works out roughly what motor he will use to power his quadcopter. Good Motor makers will have these prop charts either in the box with motors or online. they are your best friend once you learn how to choose the best motor for your setup. as you can see the motors we choose here are very much maxing out with 11.1v so we could NOT run say 4s and have that be ok, the motors would/could fail running with to many volts and current flowing through them. Also remember prop size makes a change to rpm, notice as the props get bigger the RPM comes down, we dont need to throw them so fast to produce lift. hope this helps you all see how i and others match our motors to our setups using prop charts and overal weight of machine
