Yep the esc was fine and the new motor is so much better.. besides fixing the squeal it also stutters less at the start and looks more serviceable. Thanks all for you help

I guess its borked... where can I get a motor like that..all HK have is Sensored ..none to replace.. My local RC shop has these http://radientrc.com/Reaktor/ or should I just go for the same combo again hoping this was a one off?

The bearings are moving ok but I did notice the wire on the left is not as well connected as the other 2?

I switched from brushed it's a turnigy combo

It's always had that stutter it's when it's not moving and the high pitch squeal that's new

I didn't check the temps ..needless to say so hot I buggered it up lol

It's defo the motor I took it out it seems to do it at a certain point in its rotation but only from a static position. ...

Yeh I was setting the slipper clutch I think I may have overheated the motor
