  1. I dont want people to take offence to this This must be the 4th thread that will be locked in next ten minutes no doubt However Msuk is a forum and a community of people and aided in bring a tool to help and support people What can you not continue to leave a thread open so that people can comunicate Reg a bad experience It will be interesting to see if items turn up etc Potentionaly 100s of people have been scammed Why can you not leave a thread open that is clean Surely it is your jobs on here as moderators to remove bad posts target than just closing a perfectly fair thread ??? Rather than just close it , Remove the bad posts in it, contact thd person and explain why they can't post that . Explain to them. There's ages from kids to OAPs on here, I'm sure we can keep it clean ! Final point to add is that some people prob dont read this that often and will miss it However if it's kept open people will see it as it will be active Just try and jeep the thread going and only post your outcomes on delivery or paypal refunds It's no harm , a forum is to help people remember and advise . No names or emails to bd mentioned and no links etc No mention of face book and surely then it's no harm Ps if this gets locked or deleted I lose faith in all that that I have in msuk to be honest

  2. Well, I have been reading all the commotion in all the threads as I seem to have missed all the fun, But I would just like to add,Someone said that said gentleman or woman in these alleged dodgy transactions was possibly located in Chatham Kent, So just to say it doesn't matter how much you may or may not have lost, No amount of money is worth setting one foot in Chatham, Chav central and a lot like Silent Hill, Getting in is easy, But you will never be allowed to leave, Just a word of warning.

  6. Exactly. It's ok people being smug and keep saying 'if it's too good to be true, then it usually is lolol', but it's not like the stuff was absurdly cheap, I mean yes it was cheap but it's not like he had lipos up for three quid. He was UK based, had good feedback and the stuff wasn't that unrealistically priced. Christ, it wasn't like when people fell for that monster truck from Hong Kong scam, that one was blindingly obvious from the start........

  8. Staff Note to user: Lets get one thing clear.....especially for those who think they know best and would like to tell us how to run the board.... 1) The thread was locked because of the posts made in it. People were posting up threats, and were posting personal information gained form various sources of an alleged scammer. This, I shouldn;t have to poi nt out, is not acceptable and cannot be allowed. Quite how the law would view it if that data is used and some one DOES go round to his house and break his legs I wouldn;t like to guess....but it would not be good. 2) There is no proof that the man is a scammer, or that the man being named is actually the scammer. There is a proper process for disputes like this and ist has nothing to do with what was being posted by some members. 3) The thread was locked as it went way off topic and beyond the bounds of sense. The other threads were locked as they were too. Quite why the OP thought this would be any different I don;t know....but it wandered immediately. Perhaps the Mods knew that already,,,, 4) This situation cannot be resolved by anyone on here. It didn;t happen here and won't be solved by talking. All it is doing is inflaming an already heated discussion. For all those worried about losing your freedom of speech....I will clean this thread now, and remove the rubbish. But I will watch it. One stupid comment and I lock it. Keep it informative, keep it sensible, keep it factual. If I lock it...the next person to open a similar thread or to moan about sensorship gets a warning. If you want to be treated as grown-ups, first you must act as grown ups. Ball is in your court. Please read our forum guidelines.

  9. As has been said, damned if you do anything, damned if you don't. Not all teens are bad though, I remember one teenager called Petra, from Sweden, 19years old, she was very good and sometimes if I was lucky she would be very bad!

  16. its the CO2 your breathing in The brain has one of the highest oxygen demand in your body.... you start breathing in High contents of co2, your lungs aren't able to work against the diffusion rate compared to normal As a result there is less oxygen in the blood = Brains gets less oxygen - hence the headache starts Also becareful, if these can produce CO (carbon Monoxide) the lethal element to emissions - pretty sure they will its no different to any other fuel burning engine The CO binds to the blood cells in your body, The CO + Blood makes a stable compound Unlike blood and oxygen which is an unstable compound, hence why its able to be release over the body The Brain starts recieving lack of good blood and lack of oxygen again The last thing to mention as well is the fact nitrometane fuel is a carsongenic fuel - ie a cancer causing fuel Not garentee cancer, just if you were always snorting the fumes of fuel and combustion, you really do run the risk of increased chances dont panic, its not a life threatening thing this hobby, hence why you should ALWAYS run the engine and open fuel in a well ventilated area Outside is best with a gentle breeze ziggy

  17. i've got a spare mini tamiya connector which I can put onto a fly lead for you all you would need to do is put banana plugs on. Yes mines held ok but it hasn't been bashed. People who've jumped them have managed to crack the wheels so worth changing them if that's what you want to do with it.

  18. Since starting the hobby in september '05, ive been able to build, from spares, in addition, to the running modles, i had/have, another, revo, tmax, jato, slash, tl01, tt01, m03, rc18, savage and crt If you dont have enough spares to be able to build another car, then you dont really have spares at all Scott

  19. the diffs certainly sound like they need rebuilding/replacing this could be causing alot of heat build up as the motor and esc are working harder meaning they are heating faster. i would do your diffs first before looking at the esc

  26. Thats the job of eBay, thats why they have their processes and proceedures. We can't do anything and we can't answer questions as we don't have the full facts (and won't ever have them, as we aren't eBay). If this was on here, we'd have IP addresses and things like that, but we don't, so we can't. I know it sounds harsh, but just leave it to eBay and in future, don't be so ridiculous when jumping on buying bandwagons.

  28. Thats more down to people being waaaaaaaaaaaay too trusting and not using sensible heads when spending money. If its eBay, you have no idea if its a one-man operation, a major warehouse etc. If its too good to be true, it usually is.

  29. To add to Nitroholic's post above, I'd like to spell this out nice and clearly for everyone tempted to start yet ANOTHER thread on this situation..... Its on eBay. Its being dealt with through eBay. Its through PayPal. Its being dealt with through PayPal. Nobody has failed to receive items. As of right now, a witchhunt has started based on opinions, not facts. Wait for facts to arrive, then use the proper channels to deal with it. As ever, with buying ANYTHING, buyer beware. If it looks too good to be true, it usually is. Don't buy anything from any source unless you have proper and genuine belief that you trust the seller to ship the goods. And to me that means, any negative feedback is massive alarmbells. The situation is a eBay situation, not MSUK-Forum. I apprieciate that may feel like passing the buck, but we are not equipped to police eBay, its not our role and its not constructive to throw around implications that people away from the forum are scammers, especially in this libellous age we live in - we're responsible for your comments and we don't want to be taken to court by members accusing others of wrongdoing when nothing has happened.

  31. Turner best advice us Dslr owners will say " pop to the stores have a good look around" , the canon 1100D is a nice cam, so is the 500D 550D the 7D. ideal for you is live view, see what your shooting on the screen. weight of cams vary slightly as technology gets better, but a tripod can overcome the weight issue. get a few different models side by side. your looking at weight , feel , settings (1080p etc etc), picture quality and movie quality. i know rich over in the photography section had been doing video with his canon cam, and damn good to. he knows his stuff and his pictures show that to. maybe have a chat with the photography guys, we cannot say buy this camera, we all have different likes and opinions on cameras. take your time and mull over the pro's and con's. as for fuji you could hand this down to the younger family members, when you upgrade.or resell and put money towards other things, spare cell pack bigger memory card, swarv case, or even a cheap lens. so pop to the photography thread ( technology section in forum), have a look at the picture quality you get from the different cameras used. still photos use the same sensor as it would for recording video. for you i would say a zoom fuction when running in video mode would be a good bet. a good layout for settings ie : one touch maybe couple touch to engage video. easy on the pocket and will no go out of date in a months time, like most camcorders. Dslr cameras hold their money well, i cannot say the same for camcorders, so resale on a dslr is fairly decent

  34. I have an ultimate and whilst I love it, I'm not convinced that all the upgrades are necessary for general bashing; the sway bars obviously limit roll, but firm up the front end too when landing jumps (I did bend one slightly lol). The alu caster blocks are nice, however (much needed) RPM upgrade arms do not fit into these cleanly, as I discovered to my cost after trashing 2 front bearings, and they can bend (tbf, it was a massive full speed impact). I'm currently running standard steering blocks as there are no alu replacements about (and at about 35 quid a pair, I may just leave them off!) The soft compound tyres totally suck on damp/wet grass too. And it does roll easily with over exuberant cornering....but that's just a slash thing I think. BUT the cost of the car with upgrades is much less then buying a standard 4x4 and then buying and fitting them. The upgraded shocks are well worth having and the included centre diff is nice to have too (tho whether or not I'll use it remains to be seen). Blue alu wheel nuts I could live without, but they won't rust I truly love my slash for what it will do, and that's provide smile after smile. She climbs hills as easily as my Monster Trucks, has a wicked turn of speed and (electrical maladies aside) been tough. I also find that spares prices are reasonable, although availability can sometimes be an issue, depending on what you need (for eg, at the time of typing, no heavy duty rear driveshafts about anywhere) They're easy to service too - the Traxxas modular design of front end/chassis/rear end is a joy to work with Recommended upgrades - (front and Rear) RPM arms and Steering blocks (if you get the non ultimate), rear arms only on the ultimate Pro-line undertray - takes a bit of fettlin' to get it to fit, however it protects the underside very well and keeps the innards pretty clean (this is very important to me lol) Fasttrax Bullseye SC Tyres - they're cheap but I really like 'em for the grass, really grip well - I was popping wheelies in the park this avo... RPM shock guards - for a tenner, I reckon they're worth it I am running 3s 5000Mah 25c Lipos in the beast, which does generate a fair amount of heat in the motor and esc. I believe some folk on here suggest using the additionally purchased fan if running 3s, I haven't felt the need yet, as I'm fortunate enough to be able to rest the Slash and run a different vehicle whilst she cools down Tis a very personal thing, this r/c buying business, just as choosing your 1:1 car is and I'm sure you'll get hours of fun from whatever you decide..... HTH

  38. I have a real hatred for dodgey tradesmen. I'm origionally a painter & decorator so i spent most of my trades working life correcting poor or shoddy work because it was down to me to make poor work look good & if i didn't i was the one who had the complaints. My job now is to give advice on the use of building products & we are open to the public so from time to time people call me asking about how certain jobs should be done. these people have been conned in the most horrific way & i feel so bad for them. bad tradesmen really are subhuman scum

  40. I mess about at a few different places. Kings Park, there's loads of space and different spots with various terrain, it's a big place. There's a disused five-a-side pitch next to Bournemouth FC, covered in very fine chippings and random clumps of weeds, great for drifting all over the shop and having a laugh. The cliff-top between Boscombe and Southbourne is pretty nifty but there are people using the pathways. Still, it's packed with jumps and decent places to run. I'll have to give you a shout when I've sorted my Flux (new 1717 motor in the post), think it'll give that canned mosquito of yours a run for it's money.
