I appreciate that gassers are still better at runtime and recharge time (it only takes minutes to refill a fuel tank!), but for those of us that prefer leccy, this is awesome. m4inbrain Posted November 22, 2019 Share Posted November 22, 2019 The DBXLe 2 is almost 10cm longer, albeit a bit narrower and has 1cm less ground clearance. It also does 45mph out of the box with no changes, so considerably faster (even though it runs a 780kv motor to the Kratons 1250kv). There's not much out there yet in terms of videos, but i personally like what i see - that said, i'd like to see a proper offroad run before i give a proper opinion. I can currently only judge it by standing in front of someone talking viewers through it, and a few runs up and down the street on concrete. I don't think there's a competition between the DBXL and the Kraton, they're (like the X-Maxx and Kraton) too different. The Kraton will be better in the rough stuff, for obvious reasons - i personally don't think that it makes it a better truck though. I'm over the Kraton already, and i'm still set on the X-Maxx, but i gotta be careful with how many videos i watch of the DBXL. For me, DBXL-E over Kraton all day long. Quite a few on the Facebook group have picked them up for $600 but that was from their local hobby shops and not big retailers like amain and so forth.
