Been kind of neglecting mine during the winter months, So I thought I would have a play and add some more flashy bits to the rig,

Added some segment displays above the centre monitor for speed,Delta times,Best lap and lots of other stuff, Also one behind the wheel that shows lap, gear and speed with an LED rev display, I've ordered parts that allow me to add vibrating motors to the throttle and brake peddle, And an LCD to show tyre temps.

Also added a Bass shaker to either side of the chair which work independently from each other to give a different feel on the left and right  , These and all the displays are controlled by SimHub, Brilliant bit of Donation ware, Now also have some KefQ satellite speakers for Dolby Digital, Couple of home made subs from my cinema setup after an upgrade, all powered by a couple of AV Amps. I need to change the chair at some point after I'm happy with the setup.

The Computer is nothing ground breaking, An i5 2500K overclocked to 4.5Ghz, An R9280x for the triple screen with a couple SSD and 8Gig, A HD5450 to run the other two monitors with a sound blaster to run the Bass Shakers,  I'll sell the 280x and a HD7970 i have and upgrade when the prices have stopped being silly, But the processor is still good for this upgrade cycle, Must be one of the best processors ever.

Some nice setups and pcs here for sure.

I am not into gaming any more but I get dry ice and liquid nitrogen every now and then to see how fast things will go. Most recent session was AMD Ryzen 7 2700X on dry ice.

Not the fastest thing I've run, but very respectable scores in benchmarks for an 8 core. :)

Bit of a thread resurrection, here. A couple of months back, I built myself a brand new, absolute monster of a gaming PC. Though I'd share, for those interested.

Name: THE FORGE

Processor: AMD Ryzen 9 5900x (my first AMD since the good ol' Athlon 64 days!)

Motherboard: Asus ROG Strix X-570F

RAM: 32GB Crucial Ballistix DDR4 3600

Graphics: Asus TUF RTX3080 Ti OC

PSU: Corsair RM850

Storage: 500GB Samsung 980 Pro M.2 NVME, PCI-E 4.0 & 2TB Adata XPG Gammix S70 M.2 NVME, PCI-E 4.0

Case: Phanteks Eclipse P500A DRGB (also several extra Phanteks DRGB PWM fans).

Got the RGB set up to look like the whole machine contains fire, like an actual forge. So the fans are flickering, randomly, between various oranges and yellows. The camera does not show it (of course), but the effect is actually really good. My girlfriend genuinely thought something had caught fire, when she walked past the man cave!

I like themed desktops, so the background is an animated one (wallpaper engine) and it's just a dark screen with flames and embers licking up, from the bottom. Also have various "forge-related" names and images, for most of the major icons.

Running it on a 32" BenQ 4K monitor, but it's only 60hz. I think this PC justifies a 120Hz G-sync monitor, so I might upgrade to that.
