  1. Post can be closed, Buyer has received chassis and all is good with the deal. Thanks
  2. Spent today working on body mounts for the truck. The cab is mounted independently from the bed so either part can be removed easily and in isolation from the other. Ride height is spot on for what I was aiming for which is pretty much a stock/muscle truck look - no slamming rides here 😅 Next will be to get a gearbox and motor in and then work on an interior.
  3. With a heavy heart due to personal circumstances I have to let go of my GCM Racing CMAX build. If you know about GCM Racing you will know these are not cheap kits to buy. It cost £500 to buy the chassis kit direct from GCM Racing in Canada alone. The chassis has been built but never ran. It is set up as a 340mm WB but that could be adapted to suit other wheelbase needs. It comes with GCM Racing ST2 leaf spring axles with a righthand offset front pumpkin like you would find on chevy trucks. It also comes with a GCM Racing LRT2 scale transmission. As part of the chassis being a slider I am including the installed Lesu scale driveshafts, the RC4WD 50mm Bilstein Shocks and the RC4WD 35T brushed motor. I will leave the 3D printed chassis trays as they may work with other bodies. They do have mounting holes that line up with the RC4WD Blazer body. Any questions just ask. Asking £350 (NOW SOLD) Price includes priority shipping within the UK in the UK only.
  4. Keep them in mind should your 1/14 tyres not work for you. The logo on the tyres is a vinyl adhesive sticker that I designed specifically for the tyres. Here's a better angle for you to check them out
  5. It was a a fluke combo, it's what I wanted but you never know how it's going to pan out until you try it in the flesh.
  6. Here's a wee update to the shop truck build. Installed a Yota axle on the rear end and finished off the rear suspension with some 1/18 scale dampers to compliment the leaf springs. I'm going for a stock/muscle truck look so rather than big wheels and skinny tyres I have gone the opposite way with fat tyres and 1.55 beadlocks. The tyres are actually from the Tamiya euro racing truck range and the beadlocks are from Pro-line racing both of which fit together so well.
  7. Cheers fellas and apologies for the delayed response, life has been madness of late 🥴
  8. Hey folks, Does anyone have one of these laying about in good condition that they would sell on for a good price? I don't mind if it is a genuine RC4WD axle or a chines cloned version, as long as it's inn great condition and spins freely I'm interested. Hit me up if you have something suitable. Ta!
  9. Having watched the Rat Rod kits that Josh produced previously, when he announced a chassis only kit that would work with the RC4WD Blazer and K10 bodies I was sold. Having bought a kit this is the beginning of my build. Plans are to go for a stock truck look rather than full on slammed. This is where I am at present with the chassis - Front suspension is made up of Tamiya TL01 parts from Hot Racing and GPM Racing Micro servo is from Injora Rear leaf spring kit is a generic set from eBay Wheels and tyres are inbound which I hope work for a stock truck look although I will be honest and say that what I have chosen is a blind risk 😅 Next up will be to acquire a Yota II axle, R4 gearbox, Lesu driveshaft and 2in1 motor and of course a K10 body set.
  10. I was originally going for purple, however the person that is buying it wasn't to keen on that and instead suggested a metallic copper/root beer colour and as money talks I'm happy with the change in colour 😅
  11. They did but then I decided to jack the truck up which meant I needed deep dish big offset wheels to compliment the lift. A positive result of the change of heart means I also have a buyer for the truck when it's finished too.
  12. Cheers dude, just need RC4WD to hurry up and get the wheels back in stock that I want so I can get rid of these crappy touring car ones ha ha
  13. So it's been a while! Made some progress on making the bed tilt using electronics to replicate what could be found from the 80s/90s custom scene. I even managed to find a cylinder actuator that is a bit more scale focused. Also working on the rear end I have a new custom GMC tailgate and roll pan which fit like a glove.
  14. I've got some parts kicking about for sale that are surplus to my needs so offering them here. First up is a Spektrum Firma 40 amp ESC - £10 posted Second up is an Etronix ET2035 Low Profile servo - SOLD Third up is a set of RC4WD Baer brake discs with 12mm hexes - Included are two large discs, two small discs and a set of stickers- £20 posted. Fourth up is a small selection of RC4WD scale stickers - SOLD Fifth up is a trio of LEDs consisting of a loom or four 5mm bulbs, a loom of two 5mm bulbs and a loom of two 4mm bulbs - £5 posted. If taken as a job lot I would sell complete for £40 posted
  15. I'm selling the following RC wheels and tyres plus scale hardware as a complete set. Everything has been mounted but never actually used. Wheels are Gearhead 1.55 slot mags. These wheels are not beadlock. They are made from a solid piece of billet aluminium. Tyres are RC4WD 1.55 Goodyear Wrangler MT/R's I've added scale bolts to the wheels to imitate scale lug nuts and the wheels also come with SSD scale hubs as well. I'm asking for £100 all in which includes UK postage Any questions just ask!
  16. This looks like a sweet build in the making! 👌🏻
  17. So I was gifted a Tamiya TL01 from a family member that had been well loved and used. I set about reconditioning the chassis with new parts ready for use or as a static display model. Fast forward to today and Santa brought me a Killerbody R34 Nissan Skyline. Paired with some adjustable offset DS racing wheels, the pearl white body compliments the neon pink and chrome wheels. I even managed to squeeze a bit of negative camber out of the stock steering parts. RC4WD Bear brakes work a treat and a nice big jap can exhaust completes the rear end Next steps will be lights for the body shell, electronics for the chassis and maybe some custom decals to match the wheels.
  18. It will work for the 80s/90s build vibe I'm going for.......I hope 😂
  19. Can neve have too many pink KC's I guess 😂
  20. Cheers mate, I'm all about the details as well as pushing my own boundaries for being able to make stuff too
  21. A wee teeny tiny update. This truck is going to be a throwback to the 80s American truck scene. As such the paint job will be a bit bolder than normal but that has to wait until the milder weather next year. Until then it's on with the small details. So what was a big thing back in the 80s, yep neon pink KC hilite spot covers. Here's my little homage to them shown mounted on the RC4WD double roll bar.
  22. Cheers dude. I agree re the cowl. I was originally looking at the Shrink RC one but find it's height to obtrusive. Next best thing is to make your own. I quite like working with styrene so it was a good few hours spent finessing the final item and fit.
  23. Cheers buddy 👍🏻 I've missed my window now for getting the body fully primed and painted so will keep working on the little details in the meantime.
