Losi1:6 Baja rey

Fly In My Soup

Recommended Posts

After some teasers surrounding the release of this, losi finally revealed what it was...

Those squeamish of price look away now.....priced at a $800......seems quite a lot for what resembles a diy nitro conversion to brushless.....props to losi for changing it up again with product development though....

THE FULL-THROTTLE FREEDOM OF AVC® TECHNOLOGY

The receiver's built-in AVC® (Active Vehicle Control) system works behind the scenes, making hundreds of throttle and steering adjustments per second, so more of the motor's power is translated into ballistic speed and acceleration instead of just flying dirt. The patent-pending AVC systems adds a level of performance that simply cannot be found with any vehicle from any manufacturer other than Horizon Hobby. Like traction control in your full-scale vehicle, you can activate or deactivate the system on the fly and adjust the level of stability based on driving conditions. Any R/C vehicle can go fast and with AVC you can go faster while maintaining optimum stability in all driving conditions.

Thanks @mydoddy69 for the head up, enabling msuk to be one of the first Rc sites to showcase the Baja rey in an article

I bet this will be discontinued in a years time. It's 1:6, so can't be used for any 1:5 racing, it won't use 1:5 parts like wheels. It's just a scaled up, part for part Baja Rey with all it's maintenance issues.

Horizon really missed a trick with this, they should have taken a 5ive or DBXL front and centre and made a new rear live axle for it. It's like they are determined to make the Losi brand crap. This will go the same way as the 1:6 touring car they discontinued after 6 months.

xmaxx still top contender in my camp

They aren't comparable, literally. One is a truggy with big wheels and this is a live axle TT.

Similar to my thoughts.... perhaps they needed a home for all the electrics that we're destined for the losi's...

I suspect mond has hit all the points, discon after a year, odd size, etc. I love all these type of trucks with flappy axles hanging out the back, if I had any faith that it would still be on sale this time next year I would have one.

lol no one got anything nice to say about it !

Lol:yahoo:thats funny......

But seemingly true.!! This is why I like msuk! Real opinions from real people, actual buyers and users of rc hobby gear......not a review from a sponsored seller.....

Maybe this is why I have to relentlessly search various Rc 'news' sites for new release articles to bring to you to see......the companies are undoubtedly afraid of honest opinions ??????

I reached out to some recently to be given a heads up come release time but never got much of a response.....bizarre as this is the largest rc forum in Europe is it not??????

I suppose, as always, the proof of an rc is in the real world capabilities.....I myself will form a fuller opinion when an msuk member buys it ....then bashes the life out of it:clapping:
