It was cold and icy at the time, so there was a chance they could be useful. If you're going to - LITERALLY!! - rip up some turf, the mess you'll leave will be pretty horrendous, then there's the cleaning afterwards! If you even think of turning you get insta grip roll and end up on your roof. if the ground is soft enough for the bolts to dig in you'll be going through drive pins like theres no tomorrow. If the ground is too hard you'll be skiding around with zero grip or drive. They been around for ages and there a very good reason no one uses them.
