If you're still looking at the Hyper Make it Build it have some decent discounts on these for black friday. The roller is only Β£175 right now: https://www.makeitbuildit.co.uk/hobao-hyper-vs-1-8-buggy-electric-roller-80-pre-assembled-59952 points

This was their closing song when we went to see them. Definitely not what I was expecting video wise but Rammstein are like that.2 points

here's the bolts in place: My favourite part in any build is this stage, where the RC stands on it's own... On the tray bed, removed all the fragile hooks and hinges, replaced by metal ones and plugged the holes I'll not use. Got also rid of the frames for the taillights. I'll do tailgates on the bumper more on the style we have here in https://i.imgur.com/Z10qpeL.mp41 point

if your going to run it 4s then i would change to a 17 tooth pinion and if you run it 6s go back to the 14 tooth1 point

one thing not mentioned maybe the TX needs re binding to the receiver just a though, if you still have instructions for the model worth a try if it lists how to bind them1 point

Well I keep trying different ideas, but they eventually leak again. Oem Traxxas seals are not sold separately and are priced too high for what they are. So this is the current set up regarding the seals, seems to be doing ok so far. Left is inner seal, orange seal is the outer one. I already had the items so no harm trying it. Ideally I would have fitted a thinner middle plastic spacer but I didn't have any, so I fit a stiffer rubber oring (unbranded). One thing I have noticed is that they quickly leak if you do not have the shaft pushed in to its maximum compression (with spring retainer fitted) as you screw the shock cap on. Screwing the cap on with the damper rod extended seems to trap an air pocket at the top, then when you compress the shock by hand it is very hard to compress it the last 8mm. Forcing it will result it the pressure forcing the oil out past the lower orings. That's the way I see it anyway. The user manual does also show doing it this way, I didn't realise until after I'd finished.1 point

For a 1/8th rc you wanna be around 2200kv area craigy due to the weight the hobbywing max 8 is the sweet spot for that goes up to 6s will perform great on 4s πafter my vorza i went the truggy route as we did alot of track bashing there more of a surgeons scalpel than a hammer haha π the extra length of a truggy will benefit you on track work as a racer i struggled to get the vorza fast round a track where my truggy sticks like glue πpure bashing wise though id take the buggies alot stronger in most cases, the ho boa is a nice truggy also the losi 8t can be picked up cheap second hand too.1 point

agree with the lads the hypers a great all rounder and built solid over an arrma tbh id throw in the Vorza but alot more expensive that the hypers and not sure how hpi part support is nowadays but i had alot of fun with mine but the price difference isnt enough to justify it over the hyper π1 point

Montech Imola shell, 10bl120 esc and a pinion for the Xray T1 from Modelsport. Should be everything now to have it ready for racing if the buggies get rained off1 point

A new Dremel, on warranty after the other overheated, made a loud graunchy noise and slowed to a halt. Incredible service from Bosch (who knew they owned Dremel?). I was sure it was out of warranty, so was really gutted, but when I checked it had 2 weeks left ππ. Couldn't find a receipt, so phoned the company I bought it from, who gave me a number to call. When the person on the other end answered and said "Bosch" I thought I'd been given the wrong number. She then apologised that the Dremel had failed (!) and said they'd send a courier to pick it up. Next, she apologised again... that it was too late, so they couldn't get a courier to me that same day!! I was told to pack it up WITHOUT the box or any attachments. They picked it up Thursday, I got an email this morning saying it was unrepairable and they'd send me a replacement within 5 working days. Then this arrives today, complete with carry case and alΔΊ the attachments I already have!! Absolutely gob smacked and hugely impressed with Dremel/Bosch.1 point

Arrma Typhon springs are harder than the stock Corally's or you could of course get the Corally hard buggy springs.. I just got the hard Corally's, because for bashing the stock springs are way too soft in my opinion. I think the Typhon springs are just a tiny bit softer than the hard Corally's ππΌ Here's mine..1 point
