  6. I'd never have my LVC cutting at storage, that's half my runtime still sat in the pack. I aim for 3.4, no lower. My packs will have anywhere from 5% to 10% left in them. That's low, but it does no harm. Just don't leave them overnight like that! Start with your LVC set high, and work downwards until you find a cut-off that suits. A cell checker is useful, the ones that give an actual percentage left in the pack.

  8. hi guys just got myself a revo 2.5 and at first i didnt want it but i was bored yesterday so i thought i would try it out and i loved it straight away. easy to start and its a small monster truck which is more ideal as its not too heavy or big. i was originally going to get the newer model savage but instead i got this thinking it was in good condition, how wrong was i? i have checked ebay but not really much parts in there so just wondered where would you all go to get parts for this truck?

  14. Very nice The additional hopups and special featured parts make all the difference over a standard TT-02 chassis, stands out from the rest. What body did you go for? Wasn't keen on the stock wheels myself so went for some dish wheels, suit the body much better imo.

  18. Done a bit more this evening waiting on body and bullet connectors to arrive and a servo cause had to chuck the one I brought for it in the losi and it's too much effort to take it back out. I kinda messed up on the wheels. Me and tyre glue have never got along but don't matter cause the rims won't match the body I ordered anyway. So these wheels can be bashers. Its a realy simple build in my opinion but fun makes a change to use a screwdriver from a hex driver. Went with the stock settings long wheel Base and low centre of gravity. And hard suspension. Hopefully parts be here this week. I'm away with work till Wednesday so probz get it finished for Thurs and take it to Halfords car park run some packs through it. Also went with xt60 connectors for a change from deans. Might swap on all cars if I like them.

  21. The double-tap reverse is a safety feature built into the speed controller and is perfectly normal. It places a lot of stress on the drivetrain going straight from full forward to full reverse, so to save your drivetrain the ESC forces you to brake first. With the servo horn removed, does the servo go both ways? If not, we might need to look at your radio settings.

  26. I have the option DHawk lower cartridges for the X-Maxx I've started building and had similar problems getting the O-rings on the shaft properly without shearing them. For these there is a pronounced 'shoulder' from threaded part to main shaft. I had them soaking in oil for a few days and reckon its sorted. The problem with the DHawks is different to here, in that there's an alloy 'lock down' collar with hollow hex fitting. Needs a hollow hex the right size to do properly with the O-rings over the shaft shoulder ... used the 'blade screwdriver' technique to 'gently squish' the O-rings. Al.

  32. That was all I was asking, You hear it so many times, Someone builds an all singing all dancing car, And the next thing you know, They've sold in, And that's that. And I do understand why, 150 quid for that bit, 200 quid for that bit, And before you know it your at 3 grand, Then you take it out and bash it for half a day, Now it's worth 2 grand, That's a lot of money for a few hours fun, So I get why some people sweat at the thought and just sell it on, But some don't, And that's what I was asking.

  37. The chaps were impressed with all tyres I got from you and said its what they use on their buggys. Apparently the dboots nanobytes can offer too much grip and needs setup changes. It's just a case of what works best for your driving style

  39. I'm going to keep the motor as it seems to be ok. I will use the esc until my max5 gets here. As for motor temps I will be fitting the sensor NO FAN just to be sure what the temps are. the fans are just hiding any issues as it only cools half of the motor. I also what to find out if the truck can be controlled in the air to keep the front up. But most of all I want to keep it in one piece until upgrades hit the market. Lol
