Jens Posted November 10, 2020 Share Posted November 10, 2020 The "alternative" light kit for the TRX-4 G500 just came in. At 1/4 of the price compared to the original version. Since I also have the original kit I can make some initial comparison. The China version contains rear indicators unlike the original one. It also has the headlights and daytime driving lights on 2 separate wires. The control unit is better as it can control brakelights, reverse light, indicators. The wiring of the original one is much more sophisticated. The original set is waterproof (claimed) unlike the China version (no claim). The original version has a single connector to separate the body from the chassis. Nevertheless, my original one (unused) will go for sale as I can better realize my project with the China version. Oh yes. I do know that problem. I don't rely on "UK only" anymore but now also on the expected delivery date. Anything more than 5 working days means that the article is not located in the UK. Often it is somewhere in the EU in a large distribution center managed by a distributor or even Ali. Another important indicator is the registered location of the seller. I wonder how they will do it after 1st Jan.
