Like the larger trail buggy, the UTB18 Capra also has portal axles. They give the UTB18 Capra extra ground clearance for maneuvering. Add in its axle-mounted, low profile 1/10 scale servo for quick, strong steering and the durable 4-link suspension system, and the UTB18 Capra is ready to prove that size has nothing to do with crawling performance.

Officially licensed Nitto Trail Grappler M/T tyres mounted to officially licensed Raceline Monster wheels give the UTB18 Capra the grip to conquer rocky trails, rough dirt tracks, and most other off-road surfaces. Body panels with licensed livery, helmeted driver and passenger figures, LED lights and more combine for realistic scale looks to match its capabilities on the trails.

Anyway here’s mine, not a great picture, it didn’t turn up till around 16.30 and the light is rubbish in my lounge for pics when it’s dark outside 

 

 

I’ve also picked up a set of the axial alloy links, I glad I did because the steering link set has now gone to back order till June 😂

I was going to take it out this morning for a run with the Cragsman but the weather here is terrible and hasn’t stop raining since Xmas day, Sunday is look ok though, so fingers crossed 🤞

I will say there is a nice gap between the Capra and Ryft, I reckon a custom build 1/10 LCG rig would fit nicely in there 😉

Took it out for a little run this morning 

 

 

 

 

Needs some work for UK conditions, but still good fun, definitely needs some weight upfront, the suspension needs dropping and OD gears in the front axles would all help 👍

Yeah it won’t take a lot, the OD gears are £6 and Injora do brass parts pretty cheap

Talking about OD gears, the UK aren’t getting stock till the end of February, but Amain have just got stock, works out at around £9.50 delivered with tax 👍

Injora brass hex’s and portal weights arrived today

 

 

They were £20 delivered vs £65 for the Axial versions 🤔

Fitted a sweet set of Dlux Fab Dravtech shocks 

 

 

 

Offset shock caps give more travel for the size of shocks and upside down for lower COG 👍
