Popular Post Fly In My Soup
Nestled in the Somerset countryside is the sites annual location ... The vast former quarry site of Gurney Slade (BA3 4TH) which boasts a wealth of unrivaled natural and man made trails set in the surrounding woodlands and rock formations, its perfect for all experience levels.... catering for the novice and seasoned tiny trucker alike... creating an RC event like no other seen before it in the UK... Access to the site itself is hard surfaced and complimented by an ample parking area.... Which also doubles as a camping area come night time for those travelling long distances to attend.... And with some dedicated attendees traveling over 5 hours... That's welcome News!! This years event (which runs on the 11th & 12th of September) promises to surpass expectations... With a plethora of organised and informal activities... Such as show & shine, raffles, a 500 gate course, mini comp course with prizes, a Basher area (electric only), man made obstacle course, the newly introduced 'King of mallets' race event and more!!! Facilities on site include licensed catering vendors, toilets, trade stalls and more.... To top it all off, not only do you get to run your own tiny trucks in what some are calling 'the uk's best rc event'.... all profits from ticket sales are donated to local schools.... So whilst your mixing it up with hundreds of other hobbyists... You're also supporting children's education at the same time!!! 📍To book your tickets and secure your spot at the 2 day event, click here ; https://southernscaletrail.co.uk/369-2/ (early booking is advised) 📍To join the SST Facebook group click here; https://www.facebook.com/groups/2089207717810219/?ref=share Under 16's attend free, and for those with mobility issues need not fear, as many of the courses can be accessed directly from the car park area. Jimboi
I'd be really tempted, but it's a good four hour drive from me. Might have to wait till Recon g6 happens again. Anyone know if it will be happening this year?
Popular Post PraetoR
I'd definitely make a trip out of it; drive south, stay in travel lodge, attend event. Quick question: If I booked and paid, but was then called to work offshore (we get literally 1 week's notice, if we're lucky), would a refund be possible? EDIT: Never mind! Just saw the price! Bargain! You can keep it my entrance fee, no refund necessary! Edited March 12, 2021 by PraetoR
James.S
Looks fantastic! Only a 2 hour drive for me so I think i'll be coming along ☺️

Well as Recon is not happening this year then yes it is. Funduro is far better than the G6 and yes I have been to both.

Again, only my opinions which seem to be drastically different to this “newer” breed of scale crawler fanatics, lol

PraetoR
Does it cost a ticket to attend, but not partake? For example, my girlfriend will come along, just to be there and watch. Does she need a ticket as well?
Bix
Cracking event this, went last year and thoroughly enjoyed it. I’d say it was just as good as Funduro which considering it was SST’s first event is saying something. Events are about more than just the terrain for me, general atmosphere, friendliness etc all play a big part and the attitude of everyone at both these events was cracking. Everyone up for a laugh and enjoying each other trucks and generally having fun. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend either events 👍🏻

Spectators are encouraged to buy a couple of raffle tickets at £1 each.... A token gesture... Seeing as it's for charity and all... But is obviously optional... No obligation of course Edited March 17, 2021 by Fly In My Soup

walkbythesea
I wasn’t able to book on because my boss can’t confirm any time off for me until much nearer the time, but doEd anybody know if there’s any sort of reserve list for ticket availability or drop outs? Or indeed who I should speak to about the possibility?
