I use an Associated alan key set. Brilliant tools, had them 15+ years and they are still in good nick.

As been said, mostly metric is needed, but if you buy a used Associated or Losi, then the chances are good you will also need imperial.

I use a precission screwdriver set i aquired from when i worked at ARMEG, do a search for "armeg 21piece precission screwdriver set" not only allen keys but small flats, torq and pozi.

you win some you lose some its all a game to me

I use EDS and Arrowmax, Imperial and Metric really depends on your vehicles, I have both, but my Imperial are from Turnigy and Fastrax.

Any of those brands actually work fine, the ability to change the tip helps when one wears out.

Or if you want an actual set of allen keys, rather than hex drivers, just buy any online, I've got a really cheap multiset and I've hammered them for years on large scales and they're absolutely fine.

I did get a full set metric and imperial once in pound land. Quality wasn't great but having said that they still going don't really use them for rc now as have hex drivers but use them for general DIY.

I started with cheap £5.50 for a set of 4 turnigy metric hex drivers. After two years i was still happy with them. But had snapped the 1.5mm trying to use it as leverage bar. My fault. The 2mm looked like it had rounded off.

My turigy set was very similar to these drivers. So eds tips might suit these handles too.

I saw eds sell just the tool tips no handle for £4 ish so tried it and it suited the turnigy handle perfectly. Im still using that one now. I still have the turnigy 2.5 and 3.0mm drivers too. I might get new tips soon.

Or a standard tool set. Precision driver set. If inc sockets too even better.

I got one months ago just screw driver tips with hex and star tips. One of those snake attachment things thats cool and the handle is thin compact like rc driver. But this cheap one has a telescopic shaft. Its a great little kit for most things.

But proper tools for the difficult stuff is probably the best way.

But a quick start would be the turnigy set knowing youll upgrade them as you go. But a good socket driver kit too mayb.

I know when i started £40+ for some hex drivers was nuts lol. Not when i needed that next chassis, new servo or shining shiny parts. Once all that was out of the way i started collecting tools and that kinda stuff.

If they wasnt so pricey ide buy the full set of honey comb arrowmax drivers i think its arrowmax.

The quality tips are noticeably better than the cheap ones. Even eds vs turigy the eds was much sharper cut. Better feel to it. But if i needed a cheap set again wouldn't blink and buy another set. Replacing the tips with eds later.

Here's a driver socket set like mine this one is better i think.

Here's the one i have but i paid 5er from the factory shop.

Then i have the driver handle from std socket set with the socket fitted for rc wheel nuts i leave in my rc tool pouch lol. A shave bag thing full of most used rc tools. I should mayb get a box. But the shave bag is easy to take with.

Check out Arrowmax tools, I’ve had a set for many years, they do wear out in time but replacement tips are pretty cheap

This ^^^

i have a full set of arrowmax for the toolbox and a mixture of arrowmax and eds on the workbench.

if the Rc has decent hardware, the tips last even longer.

yes a cheap set of imperial hexes will come in handy too. :good:

I have some quite old bog standard steel ones I still use which are still good.

Most hex key sets these days are Chrome Vandium which I think is crap.

Many here seem to be saying the Arrowmax or Eds so go with either of those.
