Popular Post leongordon234 Posted October 31, 2022 Popular Post Share Posted October 31, 2022 (edited) Finally going around to pulling the gearbox from one of my savages xs after loosing drive Found the pinion hear had come loose and ground itself down inside I have had this happen before where it slips down so I might need to cut a slot in the motor shaft to stop it happening again. No proper plans or drawings, very few measurements, just a vague idea in my head and sort of making it up as I go along. Started out making “rock sliders” but not sure the reality looks as good as I imagined. Might stick with the plastic ones? Or try a variation on the idea? Then got distracted and started making a roll bar for my flat bed! So finished neither job! Reckon I’m doing a good job of ruining this truck as I keep adding weight high and to the rear. Exactly the opposite of what it needs.😂 Now I have to put it all on hold as we have someone staying for a couple of nights and apparently they “won’t want sleep surrounded by bits of your toy cars”, so I have to tidy the spare room 😠 I’m 58 and I’m sulking because I’ve been told to tidy my room 🤣🤣 2 8 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Popular Post Lone-wolf Posted November 2, 2022 Popular Post Share Posted November 2, 2022 Seeing as rc cars can get me into trouble, i decided to finish this of, something not many of you guys will ever fly, its the AtomRC 845, forward swept canard delta, very slippery streamlined airframe, stable in the air and a fast as what motor you shove up its backside, this is spec`ed for endurance running sunnysky 2212 1400kv motor and 40amp predator esc 4s lipo, at a guess it will be 90- 100mph max but should give decent flight times if i keep away from heavy throttle, Just need to weather to buck its idea`s up for a maiden flight 8 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
