Popular Post Redback
SST 2022 Rocked! Fully locked Yeti performed great. Bronco was troublesome, kept sucking batteries dry, 6000mha in 10 min. cutting out due to lvc, signal loss, gremlins. But drove well when it worked, all the upgrades and practice showed. Spent all the time with the gatekeeper that took 2 batteries over the entire day. Broke the c hubs within the first hour so picked up some brass ones as no spares available. Very nice upgrade well worth it. Well worth the trip, massive funds raised for charity, awesome people and atmosphere to boot, fantastic weekend for anyone everyone's so friendly and open to chat or help out.

Popular Post BigGinge
Put my first ever bits of Tamiya kit together. Something I’ve wanted to do since seeing friends with cars when I was but a wee lad. Slightly odd feeling after building up my LC Racing and TRX4 kits first. Doesn’t quite seem right to be putting plastic gears into anything that cost this much. Using Philips/JIS head screws is pretty annoying too, so might have to look at swapping those out for something else as I’m going along. Despite this the bits I’ve done so far seem to be going together nicely enough and are running smoothly too so probably shouldn’t complain. HPI_Serpent_ Driver
Fitted JVD clutches to both the HPI Buggy and the Truggy. Had to make some new engine mounts as the clutches are a bit longer, thus to mesh the pinion and the spur the engine had to go backwards a little bit. Both of them ready for our Sunday bash, and then it's probably full rebuild time for the both of them.
wombat
Just spent nearly 5 hours messing about with beadlocks and tyres, that will teach me not to buy knock offs from China 🤔, finally got the job done after trying different wheels, in agony now, arthritis has kicked in 😪

Different designs to the bead locks pinch point and variations to the lip shape/thickness on different tyres causes issues sometimes. It's worse when you do manage to win the fight and get them seated good, only for the tyre to easily pull out of its grip with your fingers. Its the luck of the draw basically. My solution on the trx4's metal beadlocks was to also glue them on, if it works it works! The glue comes off of aluminium easier than on plastic anyway if the tyres ever need renewing.

Popular Post Kpowell911
Not me as such but Im away camping with my Mrs in Dorset and we randomly went to a Steam Fair. There was a few RC Tanks and some crawlers. I saw a “Jurassic Scale Trailers” sticker I believe too? There was also an old HPI E Savage! I wanted to ask to buy it so badly but dont think it was for sale, I had one on release years ago. I randomly find them on eBay but always get outbid!
