Just quicker than walking pace on 2.2’s. Obviously it’s filthy again 😂 I loved my old Scout. They're such a capable crawler with a few cheap/free modifications. The new ones look great too 👍
Popular Post billyb_imp
Added a bit of weight to the defender today using the fastrax black brass to replace front & rear portal drive outer housings, steering knuckles and caster blocks. Living in Lincolnshire not many hills never mind mountains so mainly trails hopefully that will be enough to stop to many rolls. Will find out tomorrow, the site owner where we are staying as some rough terrain land, which he’s happy to let us use (as long as he heys to have ago).

Popular Post JupiterTwo
Progress with the Ryft waiting one a replacement shifting servo before I can start attaching the innards. 3D printed netting works well, just not sure about the black colour.

Have to say i stick to NI-MH packs for all my crawlers, as said can charge them up and if you dont use them no worry about getting them to storage, my SCX10 will do about 3 hours on a 4500mah pack, thats plenty 1

Booooo! A 3000 3s in that would make it a great trail crawler. Both wheel speed and torque when needed. And not much more dangerous than a NIHM. 1
Popular Post Alex97
Height adjustable tamiya body mounts designed and printed. This allows me to use a normal 6mm body post and adjust the height, it should also work as a direct replacement to the stock one so existing holes will work fine. The stock also touched the top of the tires when surpressed, this fixes that issue.
Popular Post JupiterTwo
First cut and trim done of the C10 body. time to decide on the colour scheme. Metallic red or Gunmetal in my mind at the moment.

Popular Post BigGinge
It’s alive. I finally managed to finish off all the bits on the truggy build that make it go and took it out for its maiden voyage. Admittedly the maiden voyage was just in the passageway down the side of the house, in the dark, with me using about 5% of the throttle so didn’t crash it, but it is moving now. Just need to sort out painting the shell and working out a minor snag with the battery mounting then it’s done. The urge to take it out before this is done is quite strong 😢. 5
Popular Post Redback
Outlaws on the bench today. Mines getting locked diffs and a heart transplant. Lads one needed some love too. Lads truck had flippy floppy steering so upgraded the steering links, servo saver etc. Found the issue was actually 2 shot bearings 🤦♂️ The front middle drive shaft looks about ready to give in, been in for about 2 ish years so not bad, driven for hours every week things got a hard life and tons of miles on it. Don't use bluetak in diffs, worst stuff in the world to get out, very stinky and sticky worse than tree sap, i see why people use earplugs.

Popular Post Lone-wolf
Made the start on the 3rd jconcepts 2016 Ford F-150 shell, this was the slightly scary part drilling it to accept the mirrors, front grille and bonnet louvre, as i cant fit head lights to this model it will get an LED roof lightbar when it arrives, colour will NOT be Green/Gold but Petrol blue, with either black load area or fake boards made from a sheet of0.75mm plywood
