Thanks's Gaz ?

Most of what I've been doing I've had in the wardrobe for months. The Merc Diebels has been sat around for possibly a year or more. The Mitsubishi I'll be doing after the Promarkt I know it's been there since last July (ish)

Fortunately  I was granted 4 days holiday last week by my boss, which gave me a total of 10 days off :D  so decided to knuckle down.

A wee bit windy to learn in but heyho still in one piece so that’s a win, gorilla glue on standby though.

Gave the BL X2 a hooning in the park, 8S through the 780KV.

Motor peaked at 66C, ESC around 45............. cells at 66C!

Yikes!

To be fair, that's not the way I usually drive a BL largescale, back and forth across a field. Seemed to cope though.

This high speed running killed a cell in one of the Floreon packs, 10,000 mah, 4S pack. Must invest in heavier duty cells!

Last night I took the Big Rock out for slipper testing, that was my excuse and I'm sticking to it. ?

Most of the batteries I have got say in the manual they are OK upto 70c when discharging. I think if it was 66c on the outside cells when you measure it I could be 80c+ on the middle cell when it's running! You definitely need some with lower ir to keep the heat down.

Cracked on with the man cave but still require shelves rather than a folding picnic table  oh and a desk . 5+ years later there’s finally progress!

Very smooth and clean cave there ? Love the silhouettes of the cars on the walls ? and that Tamiya flag :insane:

Did some decaling myself, upto decal 23.

Was left alone for the afternoon so managed to make a start on a custom build[emoji106]
SSD ar44 diamonds with their own hubs and super heavy knuckles, the fit is awesome. I so love SSD!
Random eBay chassis I liked the look of but will need to add some custom carbon side panels to protect the motor...
And one of my favourite pastimes is making my own links out of 6mm stainless, 3mm threaded through that and capped off with rc4wd bent link ends. It's time consuming but very rewarding somehow!646e225d2c2acdd76cb5a7f5d5dcc9e3.jpg3a1b128fce2b0b8ba4534eee6d803aa3.jpg1a89e5b2e286ffb9ebe0414fef7cacb6.jpgbd3f924d8a93691d67f2b3a77655f975.jpg

Isn’t it just rude when a kerb decides to pop out on you without even giving any notice and only a minute into driving  ?

I'm thinking about GPM alu kit (includes alu wheel hubs) coz I expect this will sooner or later happen to me as well as it's known problem when running 3S

Snap!
I have the exact same axles waiting to be built [emoji3]
The chassis looks like a Bender SW3 or a copy from quite a while back nothing wrong with that it was a great chassis in its day.
Don't worry about the motor hanging out mine never sustained any damage beyond cosmetic [emoji23]

Are you building a 1.9 or 2.2?
