  1. Kit arrived from Amazon in the US in 4 days Also picked up a set of J Concepts Renegade tyres on Aggressor rims from MS And a nice AGFRC servo from SMD Motor and esc wise I’ve got a Castle Copperhead in my parts box, I’ll probably pair it to a Castle 1412 2100kv and run 3s No idea on the body yet, this is a longer term project so progress might slow after the initial kit/roller build 👍

  2. I ended up with the tyres I linked, they seem decent and I’ll be testing them tomorrow morning. I’m going to pick up a set of Rocko’s for my spare set of rims when they come back into stock 👍

  5. Yeah I’ve already watched that, typical first off the production line kit. I’ve not encountered any issues so far 👍

  6. What a kit, I can see why it’s so expensive now, I didn’t realise all the cross bracing were aluminium Ive also built the shocks and diffs, they are all standard 1/8 buggy sized stuff

  7. The ones I’ve put in the bottom take very little force. If I try those ones in the top they fall out they’re so loose. just ordering one of those lcg chassis’ now along with some extended brass hubs and a light kit. Only want to bump an order up as I want one of their low profile servo’s for my tamiya. any excuse😂

  8. Beat me to it I was just about to post this. Looks exactly the same other than the price. Rather save the £40 and wait 5 - 7 days from aliexpress or banggood

  12. Took out the injora jeep out for some trail driving. I have the hobbywing esc in this and the injora esc is far better. The drag brake is fairly nonexistent and it's pretty lumpy low down.

  16. Hello, I don't have any RC cars to show off, maybe in the future, I am just here to watch what my boyfriend posts, and to give him support. Its nice to meet everyone. I shall be a court jester... He has told me that I need to get a 16889A Pro. Whatever one of them is. I'm happy to learn though 😄 On a side note: Please excuse the profile picture, it is literally the only photo that wouldn't error when I uploaded it 😭 If anyone knows why it would be much appreciated because I really don't want this to be my profile picture for life.

  27. The o-rings go on the top and bottom of the hollow balls. So slide one on to the base, attach the shock then slide on the other o-ring. You see that one of the hollow balls are larger than the others, one fits in the top of the shock and the other in the lower. Not sure which one without pulling one to bits. I don't always use the o-rings on the bottom of the shocks. They can become a little tight for my liking. Hope this helps.

  29. I’m long out of the 1/10 scale stuff now. cant comment on the Injora 1.9” tyres but the 1.0” micro tyres are good if you can get them seated properly. i know you dont want to spend that kind of money but….the Pit bull 1.9” Rock Beast xl tyres ive had for a fair time on the trx4 and they have always been nothing short of epic!! wet or dry conditions, they just bite in and carry on…..

  31. Lowered the blazer high trail. Looks better than the stock height. Still needs a little more. Fitted some 1.9 beadlocks with the largest 1.9s I had. Removed the bump stops. The rear is fine. The front will need a short bump stop to stop the front tyres rubbing. Has a load of articulation.

  32. No you hold the power button to go in to the menus and navigate with a scroll wheel. you click the scroll wheel to activate the option highlighted and once in the menus the power button becomes the 'back' button

  33. Yep just introducing myself to you all. I'm Ricky or Chunk. Whichever don't mind. Got back in to the hobby after watching a few Kevin Talbot vids and finally finding TomleyRC. My Fleet: ZD Racing Pirates 3 BX-8 #9020 1/8th buggy with a Surpass Hobby 150A ESC, RocketRC 4068 2650Kv Motor with Surpass heatsink and twin fans. Haiboxing 16889A-Pro. Stock. Bashing Body and Shelf Body WLToys 14016 V2. With paddle tyres fitted to rear and spoiler removed. This pic taken today fresh from a bash up the heath. Loads of grip from those rear tyres 🙂

  34. Axial SCX10 II BF Goodrich Krawler T/A KX 1.9": These tires have an aggressive design and good grip on mud and wet surfaces. They also offer good value for money.

  35. Using a Surpass Hobby 150 ESC in my Buggy. I've got a RocketRC program card coming too. Anyone know if they're compatible? They're both made by Surpass after all. I just didn't realise the program card was a RocketRC one when I bought it

  38. That's what I do with rod ends that are tight. Get some shock shaft grips. I used to use pliers with insulation tape on for years. The right tool for the job is way better.

  39. I've recently gotten the 9020 too and didn't like the stock motor mount. It shifted. At speed. I ended up running into the wheel of my actual car, car and bent the chassis a little 🤦‍♂️ . I scrapped that stupid motor mount and got the truggy mount instead. Part number: 8456. It's been solid since even though the chassis doesn't have the third hole for the mount (it replaces the rear panel on the centre diff housing and is held by those two screws). You wouldn't have to replace the chassis with this mount either. Here's my build: Surpass Hobby 150A ESC RocketRC 4068 2650Kv Motor with Surpass Hobby Heatsink and Fans Surpass Hobby M1 15T Pinion (fitted since pics) 31Kg MG Servo Nice looking Cheapo Servo arm (fitted since pics) DumboRC XF6G Rx DumboRC DDF-350 Tx CNHL G+ Plus 70C 5000MaH 4S Lipo Cheapy Dish Wheels and Tyres (These were a disaster lol stock fitted since pics lol) I trimmed the body shell back from the front too. I didn't like the way it hung over the front diff. Also lined it with some heat and duct tape to try and keep it together.

  41. Got a few hard body builds going on at the moment. This is my Trx4 with the injora jeep cherokee looking body with the tray back. Trx4 kit version 313mm. In nardo grey, pretty sure Audi will own that colour / name copyright but we all no they don't care about that in a certain part of Asia. Originally planned to do an Trx4 lcg build but ended up changing my mind. The bumper/ front servo mount turned up today from modelsport so I can now fit the front bumper and steering servo. I have used the injora lcg chassis but may end up going back to the original chassis. I don't like the gold wheels, I did order orange but here we are. So I can see the oven coming in handy. Still got a good few bits to do. I'm quite happy so far all the stock traxxas parts needed went straight on to the injora chassis, shift and lock servos bolt straight in. The radio box will need a couple of holes drilling in the side trays if you want to use stock receiver in the waterproof case.
