  2. Short vid of the GT24R running on 3s in the car park. Tarmac is a bit rough for such a small car but it still ran OK. Set the Quicrun ESC to it's softest punch setting as I wanted to be as gentle as possible on the drivetrain. Worked well as the slipper didn't squeal at all. Also set the brakes and reverse to 25%. 4. Hi all, My scalers aren't as scale like as a lot of others in here, but they're a work in progress just now. This is a picture from years ago of my AX10 with an X-Trail chassis, alloy 4 links, weighted 2.2's on RC4WD wheels and Flat Irons. The shell was air brushed as well. I was super lucky and won it in a raffle from another RC model site a long time ago. It's went a few changes since then and hopefully a few more coming up. Lack of recent pics as it's kinda inbits a little and it's not been ran in about 6 years. Just now i'm mainly running my older style orignal SCX10 Honcho. I was lucky enough to get a Honcho that had the AE-2 ESC, but it had the awful driveshafts and output shafts on the axels and gearbox. For most trailing / crawling i use a Tamiya 27t dirt tuned motor with a 15t pinion and it gives good scale wheel speed both low down and top end. Normally i'll use my heavily weighted 1.9 wheels & tyres but i think i need to rethink how heavy i made them. My fronts are about 300g each! Lately it's not been "as scale" as much. It's more like a scale basher. I've been running it on the local beach which is mostly hard packed sand with some rough bits but mostly flat. Because of the lack of hills and stuff i've been running 2.2's and a 12t 550 motor with 20t pinion to make it a bit more exciting. Doesn't take long to switch it back to a more sensible trail rig.

  10. I don't know about the overlander but i gave up with waiting for balancing storage as well on mine. Not as important when storing. I now use 1 of 2 options: If I was using a 2200 I would: 1: when used and 20% left in it (440mah) to get to 50% it needs another 660mah I would charge as normal at 2.0A, set "safety timer" cutoff to 20 minutes . After 20 mins it will stop and have put in 666mah 2000 / 60 = 33.3 x 20 = 666mah. Or 2: Set "capacity cutoff" to 660mah and charge as normal. Will shut off when 660mah has been put in.

  13. X2 still alive, ordered a zenoah g320 to fit and stock engine into a hpi baja. Baja goes great but glad i swapped all the km clutch etc over, the x2 worked great but after taking the clutch etc off to fit engine into baja 1 of the 2 clutch shoes was badly worn, 1 looked new and 1 very worn, not good but worked ok or it seemed like it did, km clutch into the bin

  20. Took me a few tries to get the msc set up properly, the hoke that the control arm goes in to is worn so it wouldnt shut off either forward then reverse. A bit of adjustment got it sorted but ill look into getting an electronic one

  39. There'd have to be some clever electrickery in the ESC to give some sort of "Torque Vectoring" effect.
