Maverick Ion controller mystery

Recommended Posts

My grandson has an Ion that brings him lots of pleasure. However, the controller is acting up. The red led, which flashes when the batteries are getting low, begins to flash a few seconds after new batteries are loaded and the controller then fails. We have tried various different types of battery but the fault remains.

Help please!!

Thank you in anticipation

Just to check, you aren't using rechargeable AA batteries in the controller are you?

They (usually) are only 1.2 volts each compared to 1.5v for disposables.

The flashing red light is on the controller and not the cars receiver/esc?
