noddy_2121
Hi all, I assume it’s ok to run my E Revo with 4s rather than 6s? Just until I can afford to buy a couple of 3s lipos. I am planning to use a couple of 2s I have from my other RCs. Will it be massively underpowered? As the E Revo is quite a weighty truck. Will the ESC be under less stress therefore last a bit longer? Thanks Wayne
Bajadre
Tbf noddy i prefer 4s than 6s on my truggy as it wrecks my foams explode lol its just a bit less manic speed wise that all 👍 i like these https://uk.banggood.com/ZOP-Power-14_8V-4500mAh-4S-45C-Lipo-Battery-XT60-Plug-p-1087251.html?rmmds=detail-topright-recommendation&cur_warehouse=CN&trace_id=601b1666304339221 Edited October 20, 2022 by Bajadre
Tug
The ESC will be under less stress so long as you don't gear it to the moon. If you gear up too much, that's when Volt drop occurs and stresses the cap bank.
noddy_2121
I’m planning to leave stock gearing, happy with standard performance and speed tbh. For £65 I ordered a couple of 3s Zeee lipos. I have a choice between 4s and 6sz I am quite soft with my RCs, not into bashing them up.

steephill
I've got a 1/8 kraton and a hyper sste I run both on 4s and find both are plenty fast enough. I did have an ERevo and that was fine on 4s, wheelies on demand no problem.
