Popular Post Shergar
Currently having a bit of Alpine recuperation with the family, and my BIL has bought along this relic - an original Blizzard. It need a little adjustment to the brake, and the ESC looked marginal…. So we took it out in the snow, and it’s a belter! It will get stuck, but only if your being daft. Just my phone camera so photos are little dull. Anyway great fun but a low turn torquier crawler motor would work wonders as it’s a rocket but the ESC smells a little scorchio now 😳 Edited December 14, 2021 by Shergar

Popular Post Nick
Oh these are great fun! I had one once, put a 7000kv brushless system in with 3s, the tracks fired off like elastic bands! Best sticking to brushed with these. Brilliant photos. Just needs a plow. 1

Shergar
Cheers I’m in Meribel France, @PraetoR I also may have flambeau’d the ESC 😂 I’m hoping a 1060 will cover all bases…..
Yorkshireman
I've always liked these but I don't think I'll ever get one...you would maybe use it once a year in England...maybe!!!

mch87
Always thought these look kinda cool... but agree with yorkshireman I doubt it'd be a very practical RC in England unless perhaps you beefed it up a bit to use in mud

Gaz!
I have a trail king here, not had chance to use it other than a bench test. I hoped to turn it into a fruit basket, maybe would have had more use lol, always had a soft spot just because they’re a little different…. sand, snow, loose gravel basically off road use and you’ll be fine. mk2 polo power
What's up with this twin 380 v single 540 business then?
Gaz!
Mine has the twin 380 motors and a much more conventional gearbox but needs 2 esc’s to work, the 540 sized version in my opinion is the better layout, using just the commonly used electric set up and once the servo is set up so the brakes work as they should, I’m unsure which diff it uses though and if they’re readily available parts. battery position is different too I believe, the twin 380 is in the bottom of the tub whereas the 540 have the battery tray under the seats of the cab.
