  1. Does this mean when running a 'cheaper' analogue servo, I can crank the voltage up and get more performance? Similar effect to the old skool trick of soldering one servo lead to the ESC battery connector. How do receivers cope with the extra voltage?
  2. What budget ESC would you go for? https://www.modelsport.co.uk/product/hobbywing-xerun-xr10-juststock-esc-black-395386 Versus G3 https://www.modelsport.co.uk/product/hobbywing-xerun-xr10-justock-g3-1339941
  3. What's up with this twin 380 v single 540 business then?
  4. Wow, This is so cool. Would it work on hard packed sand? and survive ok?
  5. Just generally anti lipo - mainly safety reasons. Also when travelling and playing with children I prefer nimh.
  6. I meant to add, I watched this youtube video, which isn't precise on dimensions. It's clear the mini B chassis is longer, but I also think it's wider too.
  7. Thankyou very much that is really kind and useful. A few points: That photo is a Mini T? Same chassis width as a Mini B, for the area between motor and servo? Definitely shorter length than a Mini B, but by how much?
  8. Hi As per title. Is there enough room to run a 10cm long nimh 2/3a pack down the centre of the chassis? Or will it fit width ways if the side plastic flange sections are trimmed down. Or do square nimh 2/3a fit as used in the fix outback ranger crawler Regards Joe.
  9. See tamiya club thread I started: M Chassis Rally / Buggy / Wide Arm (M03 M05 Tl01) ?M07? - Build Tips and Techniques - Tamiyaclub.com
  10. Nope, for electric models And potentially for running classic electric models. Thanks for the tip of about EP cells. In short it appears a gap in the market (albeit a niche one) no one fills.
  11. I know a bit about Tamiya M03 chassis, and with TL01 or TL01B one can turn it into a tourer or mini buggy (the arms and driveshafts switch in easily enough) Same question applied to M05 and/or M07 - what other tamiya model would support the idea of widening it rally width or buggy width? Probably not something many have done - but a lot of us may not have a large back garden for out and out 1/10th+ the M chassis can be quite a creative platform
  12. As per title, Does anyone know if anyone supplies them anymore? Some older cars have chassis cut outs for them. Also for bashing we all know they last longer and have more punch than unmatched packs. (assuming someone isn't happy to run lipo) Another related question - are there any reputable stick nimh packs out there - traxxas? Back in the day Sanyo & GP were top cell manufacturer's and they don't seem to make packs anymore...
  13. Hi, I'm looking for a bumper that can fit my Ripmax Jackal, I know that the range is very similar - Dromida and Maverick Ion etc, So was hoping to draw answers from any of those owners. I have a few ideas; 1) I've seen this: https://tboneracing.net/products/16152-tbr-sc-basher-front-bumper-dromida-sc418 But wondered if there is a UK Supplier? OR 2) Try the Husky bumper - but it is really flexible, is there a Maverick or Dromida bumper that is tougher? OR 3) Does another buggy's bumper fit - Losi Mini 8ight, EMB Lc racing? OR 4) Make my own? how hard is it it? What material do people recomend https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/3mm-polypropylene-sheet-210mm-x-148mm-a5-size-/360772354933?var= Any help much appreciated. Joe
