I'm going to try some different magnets with a slightly higher vertical pull rating as think during a roll over the current ones would detach but there is a fine line between having the body stay on and it tearing at the post points when you try and pull it off normally. I'm sure I can sort you out a set mate.

stretch
@Jack Reacher yeah I've ordered some more different types and going to experiment as sellers are very hit and miss with magnet specs.

Popular Post Fat Freddy
Sorry if I’m spamming this thread ( with a long post as well!) but I thought I’d tell y’all about Cowboy Bob. I’m a bit unsure where I stand on the whole driver figure idea. I used to think it was a bit naff, but now I have Bob I’ve been swayed….and tbh my windows are so scuffed now, you can barely see him. So initially I was going for the full on detailed scale interior. Apparently it’s there on t’interweb if you have a 3D printer. I even got as far as commissioning one, but the guy kept making excuses and eventually I gave up on the idea. Then I saw a guy on Instagram using a coyote shell on another car, with a cowboy driver figure, and I messaged him for info. Turns out it’s from a Tamiya Holiday Buggy, so I got one from Modelsport. (It was “supplier stock” so took weeks to arrive) When it arrived I was surprised to find the base he sits on was much too small. There’s probably at least a 10mm gap all the way round. Messaged Instagram guy and he’d just hot glued it in place with a metal(?!) plate under it. So I got some styrene sheet, made a very rudimentary dashboard, added a back to the seat, and widened it a bit at the edges. Painted everything except Bob black and there he is. He’s only held in place with a bit of duct tape. Later I added a backlit “speedo” and “car radio” but I think I’ve probably bored on enough for one day. Lone-wolf
My honest opinion, i think cowboy bob is ace, i think bob`s long lost cousin jack is gonna take a seat in my F-150 soon (has to be Jack as truck has his private number plate), i did buy an action figure but he turned out to be a bit of a Tom (Cruise, as in tiny tom) I honestly used to think to much scale was tacky, now i think it just adds to the realistic look of the truck, if its a scaler @Fat Freddy keep it coming mate i enjoy your content, we will have to get together on a scale day out sometime

I think i can answer that one, the original coyote in both kit and RTR had clear shell (kit) and clear windows (rtr) the new 2.1 rtr has silly painted windows, you could pick up a clear shell, mask windows from inside with supplied masking and paint to colour you like, i will be doing this for wifes 2.1......i think this clears this up for you
Popular Post voorsk
I hate painted windows. I'm tempted to get a Range Rover or clear Coyote shell for when the hardbody is a hindrance. Speaking of which.. I haven't worked out how to attach the shell, yet. Probably magnets. Gotta work something out for the interior, too. Getting there, tho! 🙂 3

Ahh, gotcha. Yeah, what @Jack Reacher said👆 Mine started as a kit with a clear shell. I painted it on the inside at first like you are supposed to with Lexan. I never really liked my colour choice (metallic orange). Then I found out the shell is a dead ringer for a 1961 Toyopet Stout and decided to paint it on the outside in a more authentic colour…. before ruining it again by getting carried away with the weathering. I should probably have stopped at this point. But that wasn’t what you asked…. The short answer is, I used/made window masks.

Popular Post stretch
Run out with the Coyote today, steering drag link came came unscrewed at from the servo arm (luckily had hex driver in the car) and clicky rear diff and only front wheel drive🙄 But the good news is the mag mounts worked perfectly and the interior/figures held together.

How have you still got both mirrors and windscreen wipers?! You must be a much better driver than me 😂 I think I snapped both my mirrors off second time out. 1
