Really like my Senton....quick enough for me on 3S 😁. Think l may have to get one of those covers though, looks like it does a decent job of keeping the inside clean 👍

Yes the cover definitely does the job, first time I use one and it is bloody brilliant

I came across a central roll cage for the Senton 6S, is it any good to be fitted on a 3S?

I think I would feel more confident having some internal support in the shell when I start doing jump with it like in the video.

Was that a BLX to start with, or the Mega 550?  Was wondering whether it would be cheaper to get a Mega and then just throw a decent BL combo in it?  Are all the gears the same?

Mine?
It was a BLX.
But the blx 3S esc is not like its 6S big brother which is a decent bit of kit.
It failed within a week.
Servos not much to talk about either. Mine failed inside 2 weeks. Replaced with a shumacker version as well. Forgot about that bit.
when converting think you need to uprate slipper clutch and not sure about the gears.

Hi, looking around I can't find any sub forum for Arrma Senton owner group so I would give it a go here. If it is not the right place or another already exist please act accordingly.

So a few days ago I received my new car, Arrma Senton 3S BLX V3. I have owned a Maverick Strada XB Evo for a few years and I wanted to have a bit more fun with the off road.
I fitted the dirt protection before taking it out for a short spin in my garden, a few rolls but overall great fun to come.  http://cdn.msuk-forum.co.uk/monthly_2020_11/IMG20201113155923.thumb.jpg.24572dce990c0e4bfabf7da9266f970f.jpg

Spent a rainy Saturday to strengthen the shell with scrim plaster-boarding tape with some Evo Stick grip fill.  And today the weather been so much better it was first proper run out, playground being a grassy field near home.

Clean to start with; didn't last. The FTX Outlaw being my OH car.

Plenty space to push the 3S battery to the max, nice wheelies and a few crashes in the side undergrowth

After the fun come the time of assessing the cleaning...

Outside not too bad, long grass got caught a bit everywhere, now underneath the shell..

The protective cover did the job.

All good fun, now only need more batteries to run for longer. Looking at possible upgrade such as bigger tyres to run a bit better in harder terrain and longer grass. but no rush

Which size dust cover did you order please?

I bought this one made for the senton

https://wheelspinmodels.co.uk/i/333100/

It is great for relatively dry stuff, when it is wet and muddy it become bad too even with the cover. Recently bought the mud fenders from scorched parts RC. Haven't tested it just yet waiting for some spares

Thanks for that.
I did make up some mud guards which lasted about 3 months. Made a huge amount of difference.
Didn’t know someone had made some real ones.
I’ll try for those I think having seen how effective mine where.
And they are only plastic sheet I heated over a stove and manipulated to shape then fixed with Velcro.
Also worth doing a plastic cover for the servo arm to stop rocks jamming it up. They are easy. Just cut plastic to fit and attach with spot of Velcro.

The fenders are for the 6s
Is that what you have or are you going to mod them to fit?

No there are some for the 3S and they fit perfectly

Because I have filled my shell with shoegoo equivalent I can't use it really easily at the moment. Making mods as it goes to help. But there are clear instruction on how to fit it.

I'll update a picture of my setup later one
