  1. So Slight toe in at the rear is totally normal and helps with top end speed and stability. toe out at front helps with turning. toe neutral at front or slightly toe in is good for top speed strait line stability but turning suffers as a result. hope that helps.
  2. Hi guys. my young lad recently bought one of these. great bit of kit run on 3S. handling is fantastic. do you have problems with the servo ? csn you expand on this? we found it fast and responsive so far. tyres too find them pretty decent. Power wise it drags our Senton snd granite and it’s neck and neck really for top speed. I’ll be attacking grub screws with locktite after reading your woes. Who are the go to companies for upgrades for this beauty?
  3. All cars have weakness if bashed hard. but these are pretty hardy. mine gets good level of abuse. As for motor bearings I have seized a few. I run it in dust that’s like concrete dust and it ends up clogging most things up eventually. i use Ezrun max 10 motor and esc in mine so won’t go into what I think of the blx stuff. the pivot balls wear out very fast (cheap plastic. ) But you can get ally or steel upgrades when the time comes. They wear too, just slower. front bumper breaks quite easily, but I cable toe mine up and keep going. the original servos were pants, but the v3 may have been upgraded. Someone here will tell you. tyres wear out fast. to use other wheels and tyres it’s best to change hex for 17mm versions as there is a big market in that size. Otherwise choice is limited. Shocks used to be rubbish and leak very quickly. Not sure if Arrma have addressed this issue. so all the above sounds like there’s tons of problems. don’t be put off I love mine and they are pretty bullet proof. I crashed into a tree stump last week. Approx 45 mph, Sent the car 10’ in the air , barrel rolling hit the ground and flipped and barrelled for 30 yards. landed on its wheels and drove strait off for more. upkeep is way more extensive that our granite for some reason. butI love it. Sure you would too.
  4. One year on. forum wouldn’t recognise me. goldbat are the only batteries still alive. pretty good for a cheapo.
  5. Im back hopefully. Been away ages. Forum wouldn’t recognise me. Wtf. So my Senton does motor bearings like I do coffee. Now using Velcro under slipper housing arrangement and seems to let less crap inside. People talking about 17 mm hex adaptors etc the TRAXXAS.version are duff. And slip and wear out. I use hot racing version with 10 mm extension/spacers to widen the track. Work brilliantly. my wheels are proline badlands for1/8 buggies. Stock pinion. never overheats. Body is v3 and they all fit without cutting. gpm ally tie rod and pivot ball set. Brilliant. big bore shocks from the states which change the car completely. It never rolls over in corners no matter how hard I turn in. 45 weight oil. scorched parts mud gauge set has made a huge difference too. Big wheels still don’t rub on these either Bashed and battered. It keeps on going send after send. hope I can manage to log in again. It’s been brief but it’s good to be back. IMG_5927.MOV
  6. Here’s a tip for saving the Senton and granite shells. It’s usually the shock towers that punch the body when it rolls over or lands on its head. Simple sponge and a dot of glue cushions the impact dramatically. May not be pretty but very effective, even better when using shoe goo n tape as well. Bash, Break, Build, Repeat...
  7. I’ve had a few nyloc nuts come loose. Not sure why but when adding a gripper washer the problem has been solved. Bash, Break, Build, Repeat...
  8. Try this if you’re removing it Also just looking from underneath or the front you can see if there are stones in there holding the steering. It’s only every now and then a stone lodged in there and stops the steering and It’s more the steering rods and arm that may get a stone under them but you can see it usually. Bash, Break, Build, Repeat...
  9. It does get abused. We killed the granite today. It locked up solid!! and the Senton needs stripping due to unpleasant noises on throttle!! RClife. Bash, Break, Build, Repeat...
  10. That’s ok. Best to get out there. Send it. Break the odd bit if unlucky ( blx are pretty tough ) Fix as required. They seem scary at first but they aren’t as frightening as the exploded plans make you think. Hers a pic of what mine normally looks like after a bash. Only got mudguards this week. Bash, Break, Build, Repeat...
  11. You will get stones lodged in the quite often. It’s a trait of the short course being so open to the wheels. Flat piece of plastic cut to shape and Velcro on as a cover over the steering is easy. Or you can now buy Senton mudguard sets from scorched parts rc. As in pic below. They make a world of difference when smashing through mud and gravel as I do. Bash, Break, Build, Repeat...
  12. Who did you buy from? It’s under warranty Call them. They will change it. Usually for one that will work properly. I thought by now they’d have sorted their servos for the V3 Bash, Break, Build, Repeat...
  13. Positively gleaming compared to without. Bash, Break, Build, Repeat...
  14. Here’s the inside after an hr of bashing through mud and puddles, loose stones and general muck. Never looked so good. PS, no stones getting in and binding up the steering. Bash, Break, Build, Repeat...
  15. Yeah it had just been out and been coated in pure muck the day before. That’s after 10 mins cleaning too lol. Bash, Break, Build, Repeat...
  16. Scorched Parts Mud Guards So pleased with this bit of kit. Thanks for the link!! Worth every penny. Also good to know they fit perfectly even with 1/8 buggy wheels fitted. Bash, Break, Build, Repeat...
  17. Yeah we also glue pieces of sponge to the top of each shock tower as these punch through the body if it lands on its head. Makes a huge difference on the granite. Bash, Break, Build, Repeat...
  18. New shell arrived. Very expensive. And now Arrma don’t give you bonnet clips!! Cheeky. Like they aren’t making enough out of us. so that makes them nearly£60 with clips. Talk about taking the ****. Bash, Break, Build, Repeat...
  19. Sorted the mud guards thanks . Has to be the best thing you can buy your Senton. Bash, Break, Build, Repeat...
  20. Thanks. Their site said they were working on the 3S. Must have been an old link. Just tried to buy and PayPal messing up. I’ll get there in the end. Bash, Break, Build, Repeat...
  21. The fenders are for the 6s Is that what you have or are you going to mod them to fit? Bash, Break, Build, Repeat...
  22. Thanks for that. I did make up some mud guards which lasted about 3 months. Made a huge amount of difference. Didn’t know someone had made some real ones. I’ll try for those I think having seen how effective mine where. And they are only plastic sheet I heated over a stove and manipulated to shape then fixed with Velcro. Also worth doing a plastic cover for the servo arm to stop rocks jamming it up. They are easy. Just cut plastic to fit and attach with spot of Velcro. Bash, Break, Build, Repeat...
  23. Which size dust cover did you order please? Bash, Break, Build, Repeat...
  24. Think I need one of those dust covers? There is a battery and esc in there somewhere! The only bad part of short course cars. Bash, Break, Build, Repeat...
