  1. Hi all. I had my Granite out today. It was running on icy grass. It then suddenly stopped and I couldn’t drive forwards or backwards. I took it home and though it was the slipper needing tightened. I removed the drive shaft but it wouldnt tighten when I had either the plastic spanner that comes with the car, or an Allen key in it. I have tried forwards and backwards whilst everything is open but its now only making a grinding noise and is barely turning the cog where the driveshaft would normally be. Any ideas? IMG_4855.MOV
  2. Yeah think that’s exactly what it is. I have spoke to the Arrma rep and he is gonna send me a replacement. I’ve ordered another couple of upgraded ones too so I have some spares
  3. Thanks Olly. Yeah I couldn’t see anything in the steering. I wondered if I should be removing anything to check in the steering but that’s cool. I managed to get the servo out and like I say it’s not moving at all, so yeah must be that. Thanks again for your help. Now got fingers crossed new servo arrives before Xmas
  4. Hi guys. Back with the same problem again. I took it for a run tonight and the steering wouldn’t work at all at one point. Then it kicked back in but it was slow to turn in one direction like it had been before. I took it home and removed the servo but the cog isn’t moving at all. This means it’s definitely the servo yeah? I have raised a warranty claim and also ordered two spare ones.On the off chance it isn’t the servo how do I get into the steering to see if there is any grit/stones etc? Excuse my ignorance - like I say I am a novice and learning massively as I go. All help is greatly appreciated
  5. Thanks Olly, much appreciated. I am completely new to this so the learning curve is massive.
  6. It was when I went on really thick wet mud, just for 2-3 seconds. I think it’s got jammed in there
  7. I bought it from Wireless Madness (UK). I have cleaned it out and it seems to be working now. I think it was possibly grit or muck stuck in the steering. I’ll keep an eye on it and see how it goes
  8. Hi guys, hoping you can help. I have a steering issue on my Granite v3 s3 BLX. It will turn one way no problem but when I turn in the other direction it is all juddery and will take 4-5 seconds to reach full lock. I’ve attached a video. I appreciate your help IMG_4745.MOV
  9. Thanks guys. It came during the week and I had a quick run that night. The power is freaking awesome. It’s my first foray into RC since I was a kid and I couldn’t believe how good it was. I had a bigger run tonight with the roads that kinda wet, slimy way and it was brilliant. Working long hours just now so hoping for better weather next weekend and I will take it out to the park for a run on the grass during daylight hours
  10. Hi John. Wow that is a ridiculous coincidence. I decided to buy an Arrma Granite after doing more research. I then came on the forum and you had recommending the very thing! Yeah I think the plug and play aspect is a big advantage. It should arrive tomorrow and I can’t wait! Thanks again for your help
  11. Traxxas Bandit VXL brushless. This would be in my price range and fast! Any thoughts guys?
  12. Hi Bajadre. No my mind isn’t made up on anything that’s the problem haha! Do you have any suggestions for electric?
  13. Cheers for the replies Storm. Ah man there is just so much choice! Not sure whether to go electric or Nitro so that doesn’t help either haha!
  14. Hi John, thank you too for your reply. I just seen they are possibly in administration. Any suggestions for an alternative around the same price? Thanks again.
  15. Hi guys. New to the forum and new to RC. I am 41 and always wanted a proper RC car when I was young. Sadly I never got one, so I am now re-living my youth and looking to buy an RC car. I have been looking at Nitrotek for the last week or so but after doing a bit of digging it would seem I am best to avoid. I am thinking about getting the HPI Trophy Truggy 4.6 V2 RTR. A few questions for you guys:- Is this a good car? Am I better getting petrol as opposed to Nitro? Is there a car that is better/faster for this price range? Where is the best place to buy from? Massive thanks in advance for any help/contributions
