Thats why I removed the tints from a Porsche shell, so I can fit a cockpit set.

 

Not easy, hence I'll never tint windows again.

 

Cockpit sets are easy to come by, plenty on ebays.

I'm guessing it's a TT-02?

 

 

It certainly will, infact they'll fit pretty much any manufacturer of touring or rally chassis.

 

They come a bit like a body shell, needs cutting out and the only real workings out is the holes for the rear posts, but these are clear enough to cut..

 

 

On the left you can see the set uncut.

 

 

On the right it's cut to fit, you can see the holes at the rear to accomidate the rear posts.

Oh hang on, just noticed your body is quite low slung. It could possibly come into contact with any electronics which would result in the set not sitting properly.

In a bit of a pickle here. The combination will give me a budget 'Copy'?

ORR do I go for a TL-01 NIB Option. BUT its not the Repsol and leave it NIB? Its not gonna end up costing much more than the above copy?

Iff you really want the cossie (and I suspect you do) I'd go for that. That's a pretty good deal considering you get the whale tail and mirrors and they are becoming very rare.

 

The chassis looks pretty mint plus it comes with vintage electronics which is part of the Tamiya cossie heritage.

 

What tour doing is pretty much how I got my cossies, bought a chassis, bought the wings then the shell and decals.

Ive bought the Repsol on eBay. Ill buy the shell and decals at a later date as Im sure they’ll be avaliable in the future. That may not be
