atom3624 Posted February 26, 2017 Share Posted February 26, 2017 (edited) I received 'a shell from Mark, aka Outlaw Graphics' this morning. It's been masked up, and the interior sprayed with bedliner in preparation - so much work must be protected. Photo doesn't do it justice, the orange has more of a metallic tangerine looking hue - great work. If it's the shell I'm thinking of, of course!! LOL! Once dry, it'll have the mounting gear fitted, then I'll trial fit to the chassis. Couple of body photos for the curious: Chassis: It is V1 based - alloy arms, carriers, hubs, diff cups, diff gear covers, steering. 8S, XL2, Beast X524 910KV. 46/30 gearing. If needed, it'll fly!! Yes and no you can use the Traxxas gears but not the spiral unless you get them drilled out or run the old bulk head and plastic transfer gear Thinking about it if you just want to run those gears and say the Cush and centre diff then it might be cheaper to keep what you got as getting the new 8s means more lipos as well maybe ? If you got just these bits from jennys there $90 plus postage and maybe fees so a lot cheaper than buying the new 8s Then again the new one has other bits like the driveshafts an outdrives and the new tyre compound ? to think about .. In all honesty considering you paid just £650 had a years running from it and can still get £600 I reckon you'd be mad to turn it down even with all things said above you can always sell the gears on you can't use id take them off your hands if need be 1 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

The only issue really for me is getting my head around the idea of spending £900 on a traxxas plastic truck! £56 for that proline body on Modelsport!.... that's a surprise!
