It was nothing major and quite a lot was unnecessary-

A cool steering wheel.

5 renovated wheels.

2 tyres.

Exhaust.

A big service and MOT.

Brake pads.

A new wing.

Window mechanism.

Various things I've forgotten.

A new stereo.

New carpet mats.

A new door seal for £242 was rather shocking!

It's been faultless since then including a huge tour up and down France fully rammed and with a roof box :ssh:

The current work horse is a staggering 1.6 HDi, but hey, it has room for 3 children in child seats and a tow bar for the trailer tent.19956235_10213510051207151_6408356155117421958_o.thumb.jpg.a4c2780697c7651853e75cf2226f65e6.jpg

A quick tribute to some that I've loved and lost over the years (some are still on the road).

5th Gen Celica for fun and Accord Tourer for family (last years set of cars)

4 litre XJ6 for fun and rust (bought the Celica less than a week after scrapping it)

Rover 800, I would get another in an instance if I had the chance

  • 1 month later...

Had the car for 2 months nearly and still seems to be the only one in St Helens!!

Found myself with a cleaned car 2 hours earlier than normal - dropped family at church - so 'clayed' it and tried out the AutoGlym HD Wax - quite easy to use and looks great, particularly with the rarely seen sunshine we had at midday.

Nice Al , is that the new civic?

Yeah mate.

Bonnet seems huge, particularly for a 1.5!

I'm sure it's about 20% bigger than the bonnet of the 2.2 diesel 8G I had.

'10G' as we call it.

Still waiting to see the 'R' in BTCC trim for 2018.

Nooooo , thats mine. This is the sixth black one on the trot. I swore about four cars ago I'd never get another black one  2.0 Sri.

Lol, I’m in the same boat, keep on getting black, it’s a PITA but they do look awesome clean. Problem is you can’t clean without waxing it, not so great when you have kids and limited time! I find myself using the daily always (also black and the rain does the cleaning!) and  not using the nice car just so I don’t need to clean it.

What make is that? Local undertakers have some Aussie Fords I think, massive with I believe 5.7L V8’s or something of that ilk!

That might be the XR8 , 5.4 V8 with about 400 BHP and near the same torque......It'll pass anything apart from a petrol station :lol:

I fancied a bit of a change from the 1.6 diesel so sold it last week and bought another Jag, this time a 3 litre V6, makes a big change from the diesel power :D
