had a heart attack last week at the age of 40, big phobia over needles and hospitals means i have ducked and dived them as much as i could, but it caught up with me in a very un- expected way.

kind and straight up words from community has show that i have to fight hard. tomorrow is D day for me, and a new life lease of life one hopes.

Whats the plan of action bud? You having an OP?

post MI rehab tomorrow, and at same time i give them the nod to either angioplasty/angiogram and/or heart bypass.

after that, just a fight to get fit again and back into light work. new lifestyle change, no creame cakes etc etc, and a more healthy diet. i do not drink but the smoking habit will change to. i aim to be smoking free by march.

new stress free hobbys, maybe a rc so i spend more time with godson's and niece. and some nice new thermal undies lol. need to keep warm when i am stargazing.

A HOLIDAY. have not been on a break since 1994 ( amsterdam canals / diamond tour), i need to have a break ie : enjoy life to a more fuller extent not doing extreme stuff like, throwing myself of cliffs or down big hills.

i thought i had heartburn. that was the exact feeling in my chest but hurt a damn lot more, but once my breathing was laboured and felt like i was inhaling pure ice crystals, i knew i was in big trouble and had a family member make that 999 call, the paramedics was at my door within 5 mins and i was onboard after 10mins. after that a lot is a blur like a sureal lucid dream, all that comes to my head when i try remember is IBM supercomputer. wires everywhere, machines beeping, white blue pink sticky pads over my chest/legs arms and sides. oh and the large needle omg it was big.

From around 00:00hrs tuesday night to around 17:00hrs wedensday is but a blur a very weird sureal dream

Needles make me cringe! I too hate hospitals and wont even go in for a blood test as i know i will pass out.

BUT.... I can have tattoos??

Your a lucky man by the sounds if it!!!! 5 minute response time is amazing!

A holiday sounds like a must mate and the smoking malarky is easy if your allowed to take the champix tablets. My girlfriends mum had been smoking for 37 years but is two weeks quit thanks to champix. ive smoked since i was 11 and im 3months quit now.

Whats your job if you dont mind me asking?

RC is relatively stress free.... Well it is if you stat away from the largescale petrols. Then your wallet will get uber stressed out!

Like i said above. All the best and keep us posted on your progress. :good:

Good luck for tomorrow bud.

As for the smoking side i don't smoke but i know some really heavy smokers well they where, 2 months and they never touched a cig all due to the electronic cigs that you can buy.

1 of them used to smoke about 50 a day and he had tried everything even hypnotised and it all failed.

He got 1 of these cig things from Tesco direct and has used that ever since but now only uses it a few times a day

Best wishes

Good luck and best wishes Fella.

I also hate needles and the docs hospital ect.

Been put on a bp monitor today for 24hrs, and need to go for all my bloods ect after turning 40 last month.

Not looking forward to it at all. But will be best in the end just like your op / diagnosis will be tomorrow.

Think of the family and the good relaxing times ahead.

I am ALIVE still hehehe.

hospital is over and done with for christmas, still must must take it easy not out of the woods yet.

New diet, stop smoking, more walking. sounds so easy but is like a huge cliff to me.

still worried about the upcoming op, but next meeting is with the specialist so all my questions will be answered, and hoepful my mind will be put to rest.

looking forward to a better way of life, the biggest thing to me is i am home for chrimbo with my family/friends and godsons.

am no superman yet but that will take time and plenty of effort on my part.

I would like to say " please please " get yourselves checked for heart problems, what happened to me was a huge hidden wake up call. i was the youngest person in the ward that makes me kind of worried about other young people that have this hidden killer.

thank you again for your support and kind words MSUK you all rock.

merry christmas and a happy new year

:)
