  1. Great big Thankyou to Thunderwolf, the Madrat arrived today well packaged and even posted first class. Off to the farther in laws shop tomorrow to see if he has any motors and batteries ect that will be suitable for a car. (owns a air and water only rc shop) Thanks again Dave
  2. A single gloss black wardrobe to go next to the fridge freezer in the back room. Reason for purchase.......... The wife is fed up of having 4 hypers sat on top of the FF :-)
  3. Good luck and best wishes Fella. I also hate needles and the docs hospital ect. Been put on a bp monitor today for 24hrs, and need to go for all my bloods ect after turning 40 last month. Not looking forward to it at all. But will be best in the end just like your op / diagnosis will be tomorrow. Think of the family and the good relaxing times ahead. Dave
  4. Garry have you tried one of these yet? I am fairly sure the motor mount will fit a lot of the hongnor, ofna & protech models for a conversion, seeing the lx1e is what got me thinking of converting my phaser.
  5. Cant remember when it was but my first was a tamiya manta ray just after they first came out. (1980 something i think) Thought it was great, then started breaking things. Google is my friend, it says it was released 1990.
  6. Olivia is only 5 mate. Best start off slow me thinks. But thanks for the advice, not had a leccy for about 20 yrs
  7. Thanks guys. The idea came from reading the threads about folk being moaned at for using nitro's. Just my strange sense of humour really. Think my little one has a thought about claiming first dibs when the madrat is up and running. Start her off young and loose another hyper to a family member in the future. Happy days
  8. What sort of surface do you run on the most ? I have a 2 speed in my protech. Its great on dry surfaces but is a proper handfull if its wet or loose
  9. http://www.ofna.com/manuals.html Select your hyper from the list. Also strip the carb back down and check the machined slot that the idle speed screw sits in is completely clean. Hope this helps Dave
  10. I could provide pics for the headlights. You did say it was a 1:1 slash conversion didn't you. ( the wife is blessed ) lol
  11. Forgot to mention, they do a brushless version too. The lx1E If you fancy a conversion Motor mounts are available mainly from the states.
  12. Santas sleigh full of Rc presents.
  13. Just had a look and with some care you could enlarge the holes in hyper7 pads and they will fit. They are a fraction of a mm off bolting straight on. The pads are a bit smaller but would work.
  14. Think this is a slightly newer version of the Ofna ultra lx series. Also you may find some Protech Phaser parts will be compatible. I have a Protech Phaser 4 and have been looking at various compatible models. Ofna ultra Hong nor ultra Protech phaser All seem to be the same design. Google image them and see if you agree. Dave
