  1. for yall having wind in the mic problems thers a little trick you can use . first of you want a piece of fur you will sew this into a little mic hood and have it over the mic shoved into your helmet , what you also have to do is NOT have the mic near the front of the chin bar , most helmets have vents here and the wind can seep through at higher speeds a good place to have it is mounted on the side of the chinbar and close to your cheek this will help alot, another added measure is using a chin curtain this will help stop wind curling up into the helment from the chin area and under the chin bar of the helmet . you will need to just do plenty of test videos and play them back each time tweeking where the mic is placed untill you get a decent sweet spot oh and i ride with a scorpion ADX 1
  2. Yes @fnknan i stream eve online been streaming since 2017 so its been tough , i dont make any money from it but enjoy it as a hobby kinda fun and most followers come back , had so really large raids to upward 1000 people watching. Hope yall are good and well and coping with the lockdown , good thing is you can drive the RC's from the window and still ahve fun not breaking the lockdown rules
  3. Assetto corsa is my fix , usually racing ferrari 458 GT2 i run a janky old logitech DFP ( driving force pro ) this is my first run out 3yrs ago , just turned on the pc loaded up the game and recorded my first lap , cold tyres full tank of gas and well a little to hot into corners. but not a bad lap time
  4. Well hello everyone been a good while tony sent me a message so i thought i would pop by say hello well life has kinda been a lot of down hill rides lately , the old Heart is still ticking slowly and i am somewhat in control of the medication and healthy eating, BUT in very late 2019 a trip to the docs then a CT scan and some breathing tests , i got diagnosed with stage 3 lung disease , lungs dont function to well and have the age of a 79yr old , but i am stlil alive and kicking. I have given up RC fully and am now a twitch streamer with over 2,700 followers streaming a internet MMORPG spaceship game, i do it just for fun dont make any money at all. Upgrade my PC to a ryzen 5 3600X with 16gb ddr4 3200mhz ram , a 2tb samsung SSD and a nvidia GTX 1660 6GB graphics card. I also got into roleplay and now roleplay on a dayz server . I still have the scooter BUT i upgraded i now ride a Vespa not that little black tiawaniese model , got caught speeding and had to sit a speed awareness course that cost me £99 quid and a day of my time all because i was bullied into speeding by an irate taxi driver that didnt like a vepsa holding him up . Hope all you oldies are well , and still racing/flying the old machines , i still have all my drones and my IFX ultra 4x4 but alas the old fingers cant handle the sticks no more lost a lot of tactile feeling and i dont feel safe flying the drones, and drive the truck means my hands get cold very quick, i have been keeping up with some of the rc scene , that 4stroke v4 nitro engine looks crazy i have to say . anyways hope yall doing well amidst this virus outbreak, i have been in lockdown since it started and cant go out and mingle until atleast 1st august ( but shhhhh i do break the rules just a little gotat ride that vespa and keep the battery topped up )
  5. Woke up to this weird looking white stuff falling out of the sky , its highly annoying as i not long cleaned my scoot ............ Oh wait just been informed it is that rare stuff called snow that can sometimes fall in east anglia lol . annoying point is , 12" wheels on slippery snowed roads aint a nice feeling , worse when your still breaking in a full set of new tyres
  6. Well old pippa the skipper has been given some new second hand parts variator was so far gone the roller ramp walls had worn so fine the rollers had cracked them and started to jam up leaving the variator belt riding a bit to high. so a replacement second hand one was sourced, payment at £15 passed hands and i got a next to new variator. went to the bike shop and had a new set of boots fitted to, went with the Avon Viper strykers , been so used to riding with the old miss matched rubber that these ones fell very weird , front end feels more heavy . well as bike was getting new boots and i piked it up i got told i need a new variator side case due to this one being degraded and split.... bit weird it was not split when i dropped scoot off, but again another trip to breakers yard and another £15 lighter in the pocket i had a Non kickstart sidecase for the somewhat decent leader motor i have . it was then the breakers yard owner noticed something highly dangerous , when the mech done the front tyre he must have forgot to do up the axle nut ...... yep the whole axle nut was hanging by a thread it had backed its way off the axle bolt fully and was close to falling away. this was very lucky as a few miles down the road i could have lost the whole front wheel once the axle bolt had worked its way free. but anyways pippas done and dusted , the weather here has changed so much to, its super cold and darn wet most of the time so me and the scoot are just waiting out the winter months now.
  7. Deadcat buddy : make a dead cat mic muffle , what i did was go to the range in norwich and into the ladys department . what your looking for are those fancy cheap ladys gloves , the ones that have those fluffy wrist cuffs on them , or wrist cuffs and/or a pompom keyring . now i went with the fur cuffs but they did not work to well so i grabbed a range faux fur keyring pom pom , cost me a quid, got it home and took a knife to it to deconstruct it and remove the faux fur , once i had that i could then fashion it into a kind of little mic glove , i sewed the pom pom in a way i could slip the mic into it and then ziptie it securly so it wouldnt fall off. the change in wind noise was very apparent from the start very little wind noise but voice came through perfect and not muffled, the dead cat pompom mod acts as a wind break deadening the wind traveling around and over the mic as the air is defused by the fur hair strands . fake fox fur pom pom  link in range
  8. lol he beat me to it, usually we would just throw in a new autochoke, being cheap its a quick if it works its a bonus. if you then came back and said " well the new chokes in but it aint playing ball " , i would then be saying " when was your last valve check and setting done. if im right your little sfera has a MK1 leader engine same as my little pippa ( skipper st 125 4t) , a bloody good little motor if you ask me and also used in the vespa lx range to . I just replaced my front wheel speedo drive and cable , well the shop did , cost me £60 labour but the piaggio parts were the killer at just shy £60 inc shipping and a 14+ day import wait. my headstock keeps backing itself undone and then slapping when under braking , but they tweeked that while fitting new cable into dash, worse part is the flexi components board on back of the dash they known to get damp and rot out so im expecting the dash to just fail very soon and then its a massive tear down and rewire. If you ever need the wire schematic for you little sfera just holler i have the whole haynes manual for our scoots . its a worth while purchase
  9. auto choke ? sfera 125 i ahve the carb stats for that your mech will be able to find a mikuni auto choke heres the carb sats and the carb type so he knows sfera 125 mikuni BS24-1J pilot screw setting not available float hight 12.2mm starter jet 40 pilot jet 20 main jet 87.5 needle clip setting 4CZ6 ( 3rd notch down from top) also aj sutton pop in your reg number and it brings up the oem parts you should find the auto choke listed there https://www.ajsutton.co.uk/
  10. lol little brass thing with a hole in it aka the main jet ...... theres a little tip i can offer up here, grab a old bit of wire , strip back around 3 inch of the plastic covering and take a single thin strand from the twist , cut it of and use that to push through the jet hole , give it a good wiggle around as your push in through a few times ...... give the jet a rinse in carb cleaner - petrol then blow it out with a can of air ( can use a straw to blow through to ) , jobs done and its just installing it . when installing do not be cranking it down as tight as you can, just snug it down so it wont back itself out when installed on bike/scooter , if you go to far you can crack the main jet tube it fits into and then your paying for a new carb not a £2 jet
  11. Pippas back on the road again , £50 oem parts bill , then the £60 fitting fees , i just dont have a shed to afford to get a bike lift , and with just me i just dont have the manpower to lug around heavy scoots. BUT shes a runner ....... sold pedro in june to a young nipper, and this week i get a letter from DVLA " we are fining you £100 for no insurance on a*****o sym jet scooter " ......... i made the stupid misatke of giving the lad the V5 with all the other documents i had for pedro, i had hassled this kid for like three months to send off this darn V5 ...... " i have sent it off " " i forgot i will do it right now " i did send it off " and my reply was your a liar , two weeks for a new v5 to be issued its been 3 months and i have now been fined 100£ . well i took it to my own hands and informed dvla that i was no longer owner and it was sold in june, gave them the lads name and address . they dropped the fine from £100 to £50 but i still had to pay as usual dvla did not pull the finger out of the rear hole and messed around , sent the writen letetr on 12th they got it signed for on 13th and they changed ownership on 26th, they fined me on 22nd , sent letter on 25th and sent the your no longer owner proof on 26th . from now on ill will scrap every bike i own i will never fall for this dvla gov rubbish again , just a simple check with my insurance company would have shown the policy change on the 12th june when the bike was sold and i swapped to a 125 yet dvla cant even do that . need some new boots to the old rubber on scoot is getting to that wear point marker, so im looking at avon vypers or trying to source some defunct conti 360 move or conti twists , i want an all weather boot rather than these sporty things as i want to take some of the shorter green lane cuts and be able to handle the gravel beach paths and roads better . 28th we have the all hallows ride out so the old zebra will be making his apperance again for the second time running
  12. Speedo gave up the goat , just had to fork out £50 on OEM Vespa parts to fix the darn problem ....... i mean its not a problem to me speed is time devided by distance , if i get to the beach faster than normal i was speeding right ? or did the world slow down lol ....... dashboard lamps went to pitch black cant see anything on the dash so thats gotta be sorted to . so yeah anyhoooooo's , scoots semi parked up , i ride where i think there wont be any cops or speed cameras just the odd errands , worse part its a 8-14day special order in jobbie , so its 8-14 days for them to get parts then its the 3-5days slow mail to get it to me . why did i choose an itakian bloody bike is beyond me, but maybe they have the parts in france only time will tell
  13. no worrys just glad yoodoo is back on the road again. most folks stop at the carb thinking is like some techincal rocket science stuff , but one its explained how they are tweeked its a fairly simple affair. now if yoodoo would have taken it to a bike shop he could have well been looking at around a £50 bill for a hours labour. he fixed the problem in under an hour saved £50 and is proud his tinkering worked , and thats good enough for me
  14. Walcott Beach , scouting for fishing marks. today we headed upto the coastal road and walcott beach to look at the tide line and possible fishing area, at the same time we take a walk along the sea wall/beach road and encounter the local shop - cafe and chipshop. its a quaint little village not overstocked with holiday makers and kids running riot, so the beach is somewhat quiet to , its nothing like the major resorts of yarmouth - cromer and the likes but its nice and laid back propper norfolk as i like to think of it. Enjoy and comment if you want, i am looking at doing a few more coastal visit vlogs for folks hey maybe members will want to come take short breaks on our lovely coast lines
  15. Rescued a lady and her two little baby boys broken down on a blackspot junction today around 30 cars went by not one stopped to help, pulled the scooter over jumped out and pushed her car 100yrds to safety, she was so glad to be safe she jumped out and gave me a huge hug and thank you :)

Top man, I did the same on the M3 the other day (in standstill traffic) pushed a broken down car out the way, while everyone else sat & watched.

      knackered me!

Well done, the world needs more Good Samaritan like yourselves.  :good:

    4. spannermonkey

      spannermonkey

Did similar a few months back. Even with all the strobes and warning lights on people still squeezed through at speed. Not one person offered to help me push the 4x4 and it's two elderly occupant's.

  16. shotgun slip modded out and the rods fit snug as a rug, and its also the perfect size forriding the scooter to so expect some posts on beach and sea fishing if i catch anything. having a vlogger cam and also the fpv cam means i can do two vids in one :)

  17. Yep freedon the open roads and bugs smashing you in the lips as you power along at the speed limit lol, then theres the cleaning the dead bugs for your visor and digging them out of the vents lol. well i done a 60 odd mile trip on pippa the skipper to cromer beach ( cromer is norfolks famous beach where the crabs are caught and shipped world wide) , but tomorrow i am heading out to a lesser known area of the coast a small place called walcott. the nice thing about this beach is , there AINT NO BEACH !!! the road is directly beside the sea wall so thats a godsend, i can park up walk down the slip way and be directly at the sea , ok maybe 15ft of beach when we have a low tide, but high tides it comes right upto the sea wall. thats a 40-50+ round trip ride so nice to do just up the road is bacton gas terminal to it takes north sea gas and refines it and sends it around the country it is also another popular haunt with anglers to. but after walcott and scounting that area i am heading down the coast to the road that ends directly at the sea. over the years the waves have pushed back so far that they have been swallowing this road and it leads to nowhere just a 20ft drop directly to the beach. this trip is a little shorter only around 30-40mile round trip but again its the norfolk coast line. I can honestly say riding the coastal roads are awesome, you can smell the sea air and get to see the nature around not being caged in a metal can always in a hurry due to the muppet behind you , the added bonus is mostly free parking to, i mean where do you pay and display on a bike lol, if you stuck it to the windshield some arsewipe would steal it and shove it in their car best of boths worlds get to places cars cant and free parking
  18. until the batterys like lithium ion for bikes come with safety features built into them to adjust the voltage flow to them and regulate the current charge i will stick with pb. bike manufacturers should be building these failsafes into the main looms and fuse systems for the charging of batterys, but its adding cost and more things to the ehadache that is motorcycle electrics. i am hedging my bet on insurance to say its a mod and the reason why is they dont want to be paying out in the first case , most hold back on fire and theft payouts already or send the owner offers well below the insurance quoted when first taken out. and lets be fair if its a mod then they charge you more due to it being modded ie the insurance goes up and they get more money from us the poor biker. OEM installed yes i would say they have done the relevent tests to ensure the safe charging and discharge of the battery, we all know as bikers we jump on flick the go go button and the starter strains then dies, the lights dim then ficker and everything just goes dead, its then you probe the battery and find 2.2v and a knackered battery , mind you your still able to get the bike running but electrical wise like lamps - indicators and likes are somewhat hit an miss due to the need of that extra oomph the battery provides. i just hope the tech gets better but the bike scene catches up and devices come out that can take that direct 12-14v and saefly charge the battery, i know my little thumper produces upwards 200v direct from start to my regulator and my reg sends a 14v and 1.3a current to the battery, but if that reg fails my battery is hit with upwards 200v and a current upwards of 20-40a when im hard on the beans
  19. i stick with good old lead acid batterys. how do you explain to insurance the cause of the bike fire was a lithium ion battery installed on bike. and we all know even with todays tech lithium cells can still short out. and on a bike more likely to we dont have warning alarms or meters. plus our stators direct charge batterys, thats the full on 14v being fed to the battery at a certain rpm, there aint no safety features either ie samrt charge units etc etc. i will and always will install lead acid cells to bikes i do carry my 10400 powerbank to charge my phone and allow me longer satnav use ( satnav - location gps - data eats battery like a cupcake laced with hundreds and thousands )
  20. negative its a vacuum diaphram carb , mikuni . that carb has a butterfly valve that opens and closes and the negative pressure created by the engine opens the diapham allowing it to raise up and lift needle in the jet port. very common on fourstrokes these days sealed carbs are one sthat have taper proof screws on the float bowl and the mixture screw so you cant adjust them or even swap out jetting nozzles , very rare mikuni's are sealed units tend to find them on the scooters rather than bikes. the top cap (black) is held on with a screw or two, undo them but keep pressure on the cap as under it is a spring if you just unzip those screws the spring goes awol and zips across the room lik a rocket. ok once you got the top cap off your gonna see the diaphram and in the center a little white cap holding the needle down, lift it out and on the needles should be some rings and a little C clip take note of where the C clip is placed , from bottom of needle , ie second grove up from bottom. write that needle clip setting down somewhere. SO that needle has settings ie those rings on the needle on the higher up the clip is on the needle the leaner the mixture is and the lower the needle clip is the richer the mixture is. raising the needle clip upwards means less of the needle is exposed when the throttle is hammered open , this means the needle only travels up the jet port so much and hinders the flow of fuel. lowering the needle raises it up in the jet port and that means when you on the throttle more of the needle is drawn out of the jetting port so we get more fuel flowing to the motor. what your looking to do is see if your running lean or rich mid range, so you would drop it down one notch and give it a test run. if there is a marked difference in the flat spot you can leave it at that new setting and be done. IF you notice it runs worse you unbotton the carb again and raise the needle clip to the original setting then rasie it one notch up again and then retest to see what the difference is. ok so the needle settings failed and even raising or lowering showed no improvement ? well next we will look at the mixture screw, count how many turns it takes to seat the mixture screw fuly in and record this in writing ie 2 - 3/4 turns in. now back the screw out 2-3/4 turns out and then give it an extra 1/4 turn out. start bike have a test run see if the flat spot comes away , if its worse reset it to stock value, then screw it in 1/4 turn and retest. this is going to see if the mixture screw is the cause of the flat area just as the throttle bypasses the miture setting and starts to draw on the main jetting . carb tuning is more about tweeking than all out rehashing, so always write down what you do to each of the settings and how the outcome was ie needle setting third notch from bottom : runs with a slight bog needle setting one notch up from bottom : runs without bog and a nice snappy throttle . mixture screw 3 turns out : bogs down on throttle up mixture screw 2-1/2 turns out : sweet as a nut idle smooth throttle pick up smooth no bogging at 1-4 to wide open on throttle range . knowing exactly what you have tweeked and by how much is a godsend and helps you revert back to current stock setting or tweek up and or down to required running your happy with. Remember shove a new sparkplug in and do a plugchop to see what the colour of plug is thats a good show on what the engine is doing and how its burning fuel. white tip on plug = to lean black tip on plug = to rich chocoalte brown on tip = perfect ratio on fuel and air with clean burning
  21. twostroke its the oil injection site from the oil pump. fourstroke (scooters) its the vacuum line nipple feeding a vacuum to the fuel petcock. on a fourstroke motorcycle they tend to be gravity feed so this nipple is blanked off to stop any tuning issues with air leaks. flat spot: 0-1/4 throttle is the idle and mixture screw ( can also be pilot jet but rare ) 1/4 to 3/4 throttle is the slide needle 3/4 to wide open throttle is the main jet i would say your flat spot is around the mid range so it could be a needle setting maybe a tad to rich/lean in that midrange area, most think you just chuck on a carb and it works but they have to be retuned
  22. Owned one of these myself MR4-TC custom and fitted it with a honda accord shell in arctic white also fitted it with a silverado truck shell as a drifter to, my rims where white dish race rims but i swapped them out for drift rims and boots. i turned it into a drifter that a straight out racer
  23. Sainsburys , i got my 10400mah powerbank from its a TP-link model number TP-PB10400 awesome little powerbank, has an led torch light , a 4 bar led battery charge indicator, and comes with two single output 5v usb sockets , uses 18650 batterys so no chance of a lipo fire or the risks encountered using a lipo powerbank. 5v @ 1amp 5v @ 2 amp its nice as you can either run the 2amp for things like ipads and likes or use the 1amp for things like your mobile phone or gopro to charge. price in sainsburys right now is £25 but i got mine when they were on offer for £15
  24. Just got myself a second rod. my first purchase was a cheap 13ft telescopic beachcaster but it only had a max weight rating of 150g , came with a reel as a combo and cost the grand total of £20 today i got a second beachcaster , 12ft telescopic 200g (7oz ) . i had to go telescopic as being 5ft tall and riding a scooter its heard to get a rod holdall safely stored on my person when riding, so i opted for the telescopics being short and compact. made up a few pulley rigs , plenty of mackerel feathers and grabbed some metal lures to, i am going to throw out 3oz lures with the 13ft surfcaster rod and use that for heavy lure fishing and have the 12ft lobbing out 5oz weights a couple hundred yards as a long range static. all i have to do now is source a rod holdall to store and carry my rods in. and that got me thinking what could i use as a shorter than norm rod holdall ....... a shotgun case yep a shotgun/rifle case is just the right size at 120cm to store my 105cm rods in walcott - cromer - sea palling - bacton - kelling will be my usual marks , with good old lug worm and squid - lug worm and mackerel and mackerel and squid cocktails
  25. got my little cold bag all packed up with some soft plastic lures and a few metal spoon baits, hopeful to get a few hours lure fishing in and maybe a sea bass supper
