I honestly think Traxxas have taken notice of some of their competitors and have knocked out a few good products recently.
Popular Post LunsfordRich
Stripped the motor out of the vortek, changed the pinion to a 20t one. 18t one was a little worn. Also found the slipper and been slipping a bit to much so gave that a tweak. Took it out for a rip with the old man, 55mph+ on grass with wheelies aplenty. Really is a fun little thing.
BaldyMan
Put the Maverick Quantum+ XT Flux in its box to be shipped out to it's new owner. Hopefully they have better luck with it than I did.
YOUR_DJ
I have been wondering, what would happen if I locked my slip clutch. In theory I would have all the power down to the wheels right? I have no idea, can someone tell me what would happen?

It would be fine for on road use, but youd risk destroying the driveline if you were jumping/bashing 1

I was just wanting to know. After being abused by my cousin Garet, the slip clutch just won't hook up. I had the idea a while back, wanted to know the risks. Thanks!! Brakes are a little spikey, might turn them down from stock 50%. Throttle feels good, no issues there. Temps a cool 35C after ten minutes of hard stop start driving. No option for 5S, at all. I don't like this, but I'll live with it. BEC is set to 7.4, nothing smoked. I usually run an external BEC, but figured I'd try the internal BEC as they've improved over the years and aren't so prone to failure. (I'm sure they were a few years back) The XR8 also has two timing modes; boost and turbo. I've left both at zero degrees, it's plenty fast enough, I don't need anymore heat in the motor. As for the truck, it's getting clicky, it'll definitely need a strip of the drive-train this year. New bearings and drive-cups, I've plenty in stock.

BaldyMan
Put the Fastrax Arrow rears on but it just flips over so I think there's too much grip. Swapped to fronts on the rear and it's marginally better. Took off some garbage oil shocks that were too stiff and too short as well as removing the suspension mod because it just made the car creak. The car is back to being bone stock besides the rear wheels. I'm now undecided as whether to even bother ordering any more oil shocks. Edit: I've managed to get the little piece back in to stop the axle lifting and it doesn't creak now.
