You can use an RC calculator to get a rough idea of what speeds you may get near (obviously it's just a rough idea as it doesn't take into account a lot of things). Link: https://www.radiocontrolinfo.com/information/rc-calculators/rc-car-calculator/ Tbh if you're still running the centre diff the bear minimum I would have put in it is 500K CST to try to get it acting more like a spool for transferring the power between front & rear. If you're trying speed runs happy to help where I can as will others who I know are into it. I just had a look on the link you sent. 115.9mph?! 😂 wonder if I input the figures wrong?

You're welcome and looks like you put everything in correctly. The RC calculator isn't bad for a general rough idea but it doesn't take into account a lot of variable like drag/aerodynamics, vehicle weight, ambient temperatures etc etc etc. Not to mention depending on what ESC you're running it might have safety limits built in which may hamper you getting high speeds. Other thing to bear in mind is are your tyres even safe at those speeds? If they're not belted chances are anything above 60-70mph and you maybe pushing your luck. So that we don't go off topic too much in this thread post any questions or even just your set up/any vids for others in the "High Speed" thread I linked. Always good watching how people get on. FYI when I first started speed running a few years ago with my Arrma Typhon the first PB I recorded with a GPS I bought was 64mph with a 23T pinion gear on 6S. Current PB is 127mph with the Typhon but it has more in it for definite. Thread here showing that progression: https://www.arrmaforum.com/threads/speed-runner-typhon-6s-uk-built-fast-not-bought-fast.10482/
Redback
Brainfarting my way around high clearance links. Cant seem to get them to work, as the upper links hit 😕 So moved on to putting the big motor into the hyper 7, wasnt happy with the smaller max 8 motor didnt have the output for low voltage runs. Bit of drilling to the mount for bigger bolts and maybe some grinding needed to get smaller pinions to mesh, looking forward to seeing how she goes. Then a bit of design blocking out, getting a feel for what could be braised or printed.

Bert_w164
Cheers, what's the recommended amperage (esc wise) to power it?
Redback
I would assume the max 5 or max 6 systems that have 160 / 200 amps with (1000amp peaks. I dont belive this) Im running a mmxxl that has up to 700amp, not sure on max the motor tho. Internet says 5700w on 3 phase ac at 22v is 150amp according to calculations, do brushless 3 phase 4 pole use dc? if so its 250amp. Wanting to run 7.4v it would need 770amps to max the motor? Yes max 6 combo, the 56"" can motors wouldnt fit without raising the mount off the chassis or cutting out a hole in the chassis, waiting for scorched parts to produce a hyper variant of their roto mount then ill go 56113 motor. 3 hours ago, BigGinge said: If you think of the high clearance links as having a shape a bit like a hockey stick I'm pretty sure you would mount them all with the sticky out bit (that you would hit the ball with) pointing down at the axle end . Indeed the issue is they hit the upper links were they cross over, thats why the front one is backwards, thought it might help but it just twists and becomes a low clearance link haha Edited November 10, 2021 by Redback

Popular Post Bert_w164
Normally @Ant.p suggests I listen to some really urban music, this time however, a great suggestion from him. Rear end, lens frosted and fitted. Sorry for picture of picture, mobile phone just picks up some light beam that's not visible in person, and can't be faffed to process the image off big camera at this hour.

Bert_w164
Not for my model, but for @Ant.p's model some headlights and tail lights. Not clear in the pictures but 3w and 1w Cree LEDs built into holders and lenses with heatsinks fitted to disperse heat. Theres absolutely no need to run them at full pelt, hence tuned down to a point where they're nice and bright and energy efficient. Ran for an hour straight to confirm heating solution is adequate etc.
