Just getting off on the smelly poly bags you get in a new kit version rc lol.

i will move onto the tyres in like 3hrs, then maybe start building once the effects wear off.

i opened the box peeked inside to check contents, and closed the lid back up.

more saving up for a couple bodys, and some other bits i need ( brushed motor + esc , and some billet chassis links )

and swaping the super trenchers for goodrich TA mud's

Whats the EMB SC like mate? looking at getting an SCT but refuse to pay the price the Slash commands.

As long as it's the 'metal version' - alloy shocks, towers, chassis, they're brilliant fun, bodies are a bit brittle being pvc but handle great, on high traction they stick like poo to a blanket lol, on loose stuff like it was there they're awesome fun and easy to do some big drifts, seriously rapid on 3s too

Began stripping them down. Hyper needs a new steering knuckle and rear chassis brace. EMB1 needs a new diff cover. Parts are cheap enough!

Rebuilt the Alturn's gearbox and fitted it back in to Boudicca. Think I've just about managed to set it up right. Wish it would stop with the ticking noise though.

How much was the gear set? I had to replace the gears in a 1256, they were 25 notes!

Bargain.

How's the back? What's the long term prognosis?

Yeah, figured it was worth it to get Boudicca rolling again.

It's a waiting game mate, gotta wear a brace for 6 weeks and then go back for an Xray to see if the vertebra has healed or collapsed.

For me it was 25 to fix a servo, or 55 to replace.

Nasty. Particularly painful? Dosed up?

Not even spent 25 on a servo yet lol

More sore, stiff and achey than painful.

Drilled out the maxx bulks and rpm arms to take 4mm rod. Fed up of bending and snapping 3.2mm

You must be pushing it pretty hard, my Ally-Maxx is sat here waiting for a busted RPM rear arm to be replaced. Never broken a hinge pin.
