  1. Not sure about that matey, there's some really nice lunchbox builds already Do it, I have wanted one for the same time and picked up a kit last year, nostalgia costs you lol
  2. Hi guys, having some fun building something different, black ops project will be 5th scale buddy This setup is on my Tamiya lunchbox, double wishbone front setup, titanium turnbuckles, carbon fibre shock mounts, gmade xd piggyback shock (internal shock pressure can be varied etc), alloy knuckles, custom red/black theme. I will do a build thread me thinks
  3. Sorted out the front suspension setup
  4. Not a kraken buddy, still undecided on that one plus i want to see what comes out for them and who stocks spares properly etc etc Have had a long break from the tools, still hasn't stopped me buying stuff lol. Yep definitely time now to sort some builds out to keep the existing ones company
  5. Cheers fella, yeah just passed by to say hello, didn't bring any cars with me. Been so busy this year that rc has taken a back seat plus I enjoyed not picking up tools for a long time lol Sorted my man cave out this past week as i feel like building again. Unfortunately not matey, I love these engines as much my rc's and hope to house all of them one day. A new black ops project buddy, gonna be back soon with new stuff and my good old faithfuls lol Thankyou matey
  6. Took this pic and thought I would share with you guys before some are installed into cars, all blue and tuned Left to Right: Bartolone 30.5cc Reed, the 5b has a 29.5cc reed as well. AJ's 5ive T

Yeah with the pull/push you have to shave some material, I run the hoonage setup and had to take some material away. looking lush, Rob does the cups and out drives plus new driveshafts as well now matey for when you decide to upgrade or raid the piggy bank btw my lush blue Bartolone engine in my losi buggy has come back from Chris after ages, it's now a 30.5cc reed beast.
  8. Welcome back Decide on 2wd or 4wd, there's plenty of choice to have fun and that's the important bit to have fun. Baja's make for good bashing out in fields etc, rwd action, plenty of parts and you can modify till your hearts content. Losi 5T is the 4wd choice, great straight out of the box and handle really well, some people find them a bit boring to bash with as they handle so well but it shouldn't put you off etc Dbxl is another 4wd contender and now you have the losi monster truck and also solid rear axle 4wd cars from Dragon Hammer and Kraken although the latter is hard to get hold of parts in the uk at present. The above all have a following and people prefer one to another, choose a platform that will best suit to where your are going to run it and you won't go wrong.

    AJ's 5ive T

Welcome to the 5ive T club and a very nice one as usual from you AJ Great choice of hopups and probably more to come I reckon
  10. Nostalgia is a wonderful thing matey and yep it's good for the soul to just have something that you can display or stare at. I confess to having quite a serious collection of new in box vintage 4wd buggies, the Yokomo YZ10 series is my favourite.
  11. I am a tad predictable matey lol cheers will have to see what I like 1st and hopefully see these in action at bashfest etc Been busy with my business and work lately so RC has taken a back seat but I do have a couple of projects that need completing and will post them up, plus I get side tracked with collecting vintage 4wd buggies I always wanted as a kid growing up
  12. Definitly no clone of a dbxl that can be seen from the pics, similar ish proportions yeah. The new 5th scale losi mt is more of a dbxl thought process than the dragon hammer imo Subscribed for updates matey, and thanks for taking time out to review this, I know taking pics and reviewing and doing a thread on a forum is a time consuming process.
  13. Nice review and write up, appreciate a closer look at this platform, Thankyou Intresting times in the 5th scale market as new platforms emerge and more variety is great. The losi 5t has proven itself to be the King as racing those for practice sessions, then qualifying sessions, then 30min finals in the brca is a good test as anything else for reliability and performance more than bashing imo, plus let's not forget the big bore motors 46cc plus that can be shoe horned in, albeit on heavily upgraded 5ive's usually. I so want something 5th scale like this but am personally going to wait to see what transpires as more people review them and reviews of the vekta come in, then decision time, will be blue though lol
  14. Personally it should be embraced as another alternative in the 5th scale market and it will definitely appeal to some and draw them into large scales Its not for me but that's just my personal choice, I really want losi to do a proper trophy truck, lightweight, rwd or 4wd, nice cage and authentic shell and I would have one in a heartbeat
  15. Evening all, a video I put together today for this build as I had a fair few requests on Facebook forums. Enjoy http://youtu.be/JL5VqlrVB6o

    My Tamiya Egress.

Cheers :), this shell will see shelf duty while the other one will get used. I probably will use it at some iconic rc vintage race meets.

    My Tamiya Egress.

Hi all, been a while since I posted something on this project I have been waiting on some parts, and I decided to purchase a kit developed by a Tamiya fan David Beeby. He re produced the parts that Jamie Booth had on his egress from Tamiya racing factory (TRF) and seeing that particular car in Radio Race car all them years ago, decision was an easy one. 17 kits will be made and individual numbered and I will add it to this egress to make it really special for me, hopefully will receive the kit in the next few weeks. Oh......by the way both body shells are here and I do love this particular undertray
  18. Price drop to £475 This is an excellent truggy, just google reviews or have a look in the truggy section on here to see member's views on this platform. At this price it is very good value and if it does not sell on here it will be going to ebay or I will just keep it and someday build it. If you ever fancied a top spec truggy for racing or just simply bashing down the park, now is the time to purchase this at a good price Would make an excellent Christmas present.
  19. I have a new in box Losi 3.0 Truggy plus some extras in the for sale section, if your still looking for a 3.0 T
  20. For sale is a Brand New in Box Losi 8ight T 3.0 Truggy kit. Deal also includes the brushless conversion kit and a new clear electric 2.0 shell which does not have the nitro engine cutout. (Original new 3.0T shell is in the kit box). Price includes recorded delivery to UK mainland. Paypal buyer accepts paying PayPal fees or cash on collection. Price £475, no silly offers please, as all of this and delivery is a lot more than the asking price, really great kit only selling as I have a change of plans. ( Due to nature of hobby no returns).
  21. Thank you matey Here is my 1st upload to YouTube, should give you an idea of what Jester is all about and if you google it, there's threads and pics of the entire build http://youtu.be/C9FvOQcAXII

    AJ's Dee Bee

Best upgrade for steering servo AJ, car will feel more responsive in turns and also that servo will hold the wheels at angles no problem under loads. The hitec is a monster no doubt about it. I have ran mine in the losi buggy and its spot on, has taken the abuse on astro at brca meets as well. Dbxl has come on nicely, soon be time for another 5th scale addition lol, it can get addictive
  23. Really, really nice work and excellent build thread matey. It's turning out to be a stunner
