    Wtd. 1080 esc?

Looking for hobbywing 1080 or similar. What ya got? Cheers
  2. Usually the wheel has worked loose. Which allows play and rounds off the hex. You usually need more power than a crawler to round out a correctly tightened and threadlocked wheel.
  3. Hi bud. I've got a yellow roller I am thinking of selling. How much were you wanting to spend ?;
  4. When your wife asks for a handrail on the hallway stairs. No problem says I.

Nice mop handle and chrome brackets delivered. Simples says I. Last bracket BANG !!! Who lies cables inside an outside wall. Main RCD popped. Guess who drilled through the main cable from the consumer unit feeding g the upstairs socket. No prizes for guessing who needs a leccy. Just had the wall plastered and full redec.

Surprised that method was still in use 25 years ago, I was thinking much older. You might be able to tie a new cable onto the old one and pull it straight through. Otherwise it's finding a different route and recabling.

I am gonna leave it to the experts. I hoping it can be tied and fed through. If it all needs channelling out and re-laying I am gonna let the insurance cover it.

      I've learnt a lesson here.......

      Wife : "can you just......"

      Me: "NOooo...."

  5. Word of warning though. They will end your bearing life a lot quicker, Traxxas bearings are poor at the best of times. It will also multiply any free play or slop you have anywhere.
  6. The majority of mt wheels are 17mm with the 1/2 hole. Such as the shockwaves in the for sale section.
  7. Hi guys. Does anyone know James Lyons from Scotland? Sold me an item which is not as described and now dodging me.

Through what channel did you find / buy this rc?

    4. RCbutcher

      RCbutcher

Sounds like a right mess of a slow rc usually ie the damage done is shoddy workmanship. Bodge it betty. Cos a summit is fairly easy on itself isnt it. Unless mamba powerd. But brushed.

Ive done the same thing but im expecting something less than described as i saw the pics lol. Im all good and happy right now ill wait till Monday as its only 1 day.

But i brought out of ebay from very new account i hardly do that. Ive been given tracking details but today its still saying review and try again. But i have an email with all the info. Just parcel force doesnt have record yet.

Hopfully its just them being slow and its not been put on the system yet or something. Hopfully it just turns up on Monday.

The money has been withheld though and he seems cool and genuine. So im happy to wait afew days. I think i need to release the funds when i receive the item so that's peace of mind. Annoying for him though regardless they should atleast hand ovet the postage cost.

  8. You know you're getting old when your car insurance comes in @£250 including breakdown, NCD protection , personal accident and legal protection.

If only.  Mine was heading that way till some prat wiped my old 1 series out on a roundabout, totally his fault and zero loss on my side but premiums still jumped.

Come live where I do ....then try and get a £250 quote...

I pay double that for my 900 Honda Hornet with 19yrs NCD at 50years old. The wife pays £400 for a 6 year old Vauxhall Meriva....

  9. Yep, still looking. Can't believe I can't find one.
  10. Surely someone wants to part with a summit. ??
  11. Got about £500 for the right one. BUMP.
  12. Bump, still looking for the right truck.
  13. I could have sworn there was an arrma for sale on here the other day.

    1. Gaz!

      You after a yeti xl?

    2. b19jas

      b19jas

You need to start a wanted/sale/swap add in the appropriate forum, the status bar isn’t the place for them

      Thanks

  16. Yeah, I change it to 70wt last night. Sound heavy I know, but these shocks have quite big holes in the piston.
  17. I got bored quite quickly with the maverick scout and always loved the look of the R1 buggy. So rather than splash on an R 1 I came up with this. Apart from having the drill the chassis ate to be able to fit the scout gearbox, everything else ligned up perfectly. I bought the complete body frame kit from rcmart and this is the result. It's currently sitting on a set of Panther crawler tyres and original scout rims with some cheap headlock rings from China. Original scout esc with a separate BEC as it's basic 4WS, 50T absima rebuildable cheapy crawler motor 32dp gearing and a battery try on the front axle. Battery a bit high I know but haven't got round to buying some saddle lipos. It crawls a lot better than I thought it would but the panthers make a huge difference. The only issue I have right now is torque twist. Although I may just be too judgmental of a shaftys capabilities.
  18. Just something to watch out for... You seem to have left your battery plugged in whilst working on it. It looks like a nihm as opposed to lipo so not as bad, but get in the habit of disconnecting, removing and safely storing. Especially if going lipo. ? +1 on the brusbless and lipo combo. It will be loved again.
  19. 2500kv. 4s. Geared right it will fly. Sunny is right, it won't last long. Bashing will destroy the driveline and speed runs will get lots of air under the shell and flips.
  20. Yesterday my TX was fine. Today, I got a range of approx 3 feet. All the other cars the same.  Guess it's dead.

That's not good, I've got a Flysky for a couple of my cars, quite like it. Rx are cheap too, added bonus.

    3. Nitroholic

      Nitroholic

With cheap radios...sometimes you get a bad one. QC costs money.

It's all part of the risk of cheap. I use a GT3B and have had it for years. Works great. I also have a Sanwa MT04....which is lovely to use. RXs are pricey... and for the cost of one Sanwa RX, I can buy a Flysky radio and another 4 receivers.

      It's all a question of choice .

    4. Fly In My Soup

      Fly In My Soup

That's why I gave up on the futaba I had a few years back......yes they are very good, quality is great....but some of the FASST receivers are astronomical @£70+

Scared stiff of it getting damp

Switched to cheapo stuff, when it fails after 12 months just buy another set.....

  21. Stretch..... Pm'd.

  22. I wouldn't pay more than £40-50 at most. They are prone to diffs , wheels hex rounding and driveshafts bending / flying out. I suppose the real answer is " little as poss "
  23. Oh yes. Max6 esc and 30kg servo on way for yeti xl.

Very nearly did. Buyer had a change of plan and it's been sat on a shelf ever since.  Might as well make use of it.
