    I fancy building a solid axle monster truck, the TLR LMT looks a good base but don’t fancy importing one from the US, I can’t really find any other chassis I like though 🤔

      https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/261195915258 is his unlaminated vinyl listing, basically you get a 1000mm x 1300mm sheet of whatever you want as long as you can supply the vector artwork. If any single sticker is bigger than an A4 sheet then there's a postage surcharge.

    I’ve given up looking for another GT5, seems there’s a massive UK shortage of them, found a Radiolink RC4GS to try in the scx6 instead 👍

      Nothing wrong with Spektrum, I’m just not spending £200 on a part time radio, I need 4+ channels and there nothing apart from the GT5 or RC4GS that’s really suitable

      When I worked operating a big CNC laser I got mine pinched by a 350KG sheet of mild steel, it literally pinched it as I was pulling my hand out the way. I definitely wouldn't do it again.

      I've had a couple of issues with model shops over the years however whenever I do I find most of the time their customer support isn't very good at all. Most of the time I use PayPal or amex as they'll step in and sort things out. The only shops I've had issues with (not their direct fault) and they resolved it quickly was modelsport.

    So my Cragsman C Pro has paint peel on the inside of the body’s, it’s only been run once and never bashed… I spoke to the shop I purchased it from RCModelz in the UK and they aren’t willing to do anything to help the situation, I’m fuming at a £700 RC with crappy  paint, I’m sure if it was Modelsport, Wheelspin or Appliance Electronics they would see it right 😡

      dont blame you AJ an expensive rc shouldnt have paint flaking that quick etc id call there bluff say your sending it back etc i bet they send a replacement shell then 👍

      I think you're right to request a replacement shell.  The way I look at it, if I walked into the shop, asked to look at the truck with a view to buying, would I still hand over my card having noticed a fairly obvious defect?  In the same way, when we do online shopping, if I receive a bag of apples that look like they've been drop kicked around the store room, then I'll call to request a refund, since I wouldn't have put them in my basket if I was in-store.  Simple concept in my eyes.

    Ordered some bits from Asiatees one Tuesday and they are out for delivery today, £14 postage though, but still cheaper that UK sourced parts 👍

      That's great, packages out of Asia seem to only be taking a few weeks now Vs 6+ weeks a few years ago.

      If you can get a decent deal on the shipping, the prices are very attractive.  When you see the local prices of the Tamiya and Kyosho stuff, you realise how expensive things have become in the UK.

      I considered one of these myself as I am a fan of the more uncommon brands.  The first Cragsman had the Jeep Wrangler body and then there was this Ford Raptor version which I think is much better.  The spec seems very good but of course it is quite an expensive purchase.  Ultimately I decided to stick with 1:10 scale as they are already big enough for me.

      Yeah I’m going to get one, it will be pro spec so has the bigger 775 model, alloy beadlocks, portals, alloy everywhere  etc, also it comes with a proper radio a Flysky FS5. If you bought a SCXiii or TRX4 and kitted it out the same kind of spec it would be loads more £

    Axial are just as bad as Traxxas, I was going to get a Capra UTB18 for Xmas, but the release date is now in January, I won’t be bothering now. So that’s a sale lost….

      I got the Beyerdynamic DT880's as I wanted semi open backed. 

      The sound is not for everyone as it's quite neutral. A lot I looked at over-empghasize the bass to make them sound punchier...but I prefer to have a neutral sound so I can control the sound more precisely. Mine are 250Ohm, and they are great for most things.,..but if I use them on the PC for films or gaming, I need to use a headphone amplifier for volume as my soundcard is at it;s limit to drive them.
      Build quality is good...and you can get replacement parts for pads etc. no problem.

      Been very happy with mine

    Ordered some parts from china on the same day from 2 different sellers, both arrived in the UK on the same day, one parcel went to Evri and was delivered within 24hrs, the other has gone to royal fail and 4 days later it still hasn’t  arrived, can we just sack off RM, they lack any real value or service anymore…..

      Have to agree lately RM especially with all their strikes have been awful. I've things delivered by Evri and they've done a great service.

      I'll add my woes - very recently sent a Typhon 3s to @Andy20xe, 24h express via Parcelforcefail - dispatched on the 12th in the morning, arrived on the 18th.

      No problems with royal mail here, and if you miss them their depot isn’t 20 minute drive away. After a 45 miute wait at DHL I once blocked my car in front of their depot exit gate, parcel appeared in 2 minutes 😂

    My older cat has to have some dental work done, the vets have quoted £680 and conveniently my pet insurance won’t cover it….. The big Kraton will be going up for sale later 😔

      The Insurance company is Animal Friends 


      I never really took much notice of the small print, it’s pretty much the only thing not covered, I’m stuck now because its now a pre existing condition and no one will cover it. I will be cancelling my kittens insurance and finding someone else who does cover dental stuff

      We're with Sainsbury's, they do cover dental. Of course, as you said, not a help for your cat that already has the issue - but for future reference, we're pretty happy with them, so far never had a problem getting the insurance to pay for treatments.
