  1. Attempted to turn a Savage into a muggy/truggy. Smaller shock towers and shocks. Just got to work out how to mount the body posts before running.

  2. As a 'YouTuber' that does these Raffalls (in fact, I think I was the first), I felt I should give you some context to why I do them. I started them so I don't have to do 'sponsored' videos for mobile games, ball shavers, smart wallets... and all the other 'QVC' adverts people do. I've been doing 1 ish a month, and nearly all of them have been RC Cars I've built...put time in to, or have some value to me/the channel. I also give 10% to charity. Kev doesn't need to do them, I mean that's pretty clear... but it's up to him what he does and not us. My motives are different to his. I 'm not in a position yet to be able to sustain a full time channel without other sources of income. I don't do patreon, or memberships..and I've stopped the 'buy me a coffee' as I don't believe any of them offer value to the person spending their money. I can't believe some creators even have a direct PayPal link in their description! I spend £17k last year (Apr 22-23) on RC Cars and Equipment, and then around £20k on 'admin' costs... ie a workshop, fuel, power, internet.... tax etc... So £37k+ before I'd even taken a wage. Yeah, I could spend less.... but then I'd not be able to do as much as I do, and keep the momentum going. Nobody is forced to take part, and I try to add more than just monetary value to my competitions. Anyway, I really don't need to be explaining myself lol... 😇

  6. Cheers buddy. The engine is a really nice detailed piece. Here's a wee update where I have added some HT leads between the dizzy and the block Re the 3D printed parts, my understanding is that the MOD 19 stuff is amongst the best. The Shrink RC cab back panel is good but there is a lot of negative comments about their bed extensions. Can't speak for Scale Monkey unfortunately. I should be receiving my MOD 19 printed cab back and bed extension this week so I will post up a progress showing the quality and print from the person that printed them for me as will as overall fitment too. Cutting and shutting the blazer body is a doddle. Primarily because you have a start point for the cut where the cab and bed meet. Just use masking tape to mark your cut line straight down then go for it. Would highly recommend a Japanese saw, the fine scale teeth give a nice clean cut and they go through the ABS plastic like a hot knife through butter so you don't need lots of downward force either.

  12. Cracking collection there 👍 Those HKS liveries must be the worst in the world to put on!

  13. That’s the first one I’ve seen that actually resembles a Renault Magnum! Just fabulous 👍 Was it a paid print? I guess it bolts to the front crossmember and rests on the rails at the back?

  14. The “Ball Shaver” sounds like a great name for a fictional sponsor livery on the back wings of your race buggies and Rossa builds 😂

  16. Not debating people dont win, my friends brother won a £200k 992 GT3 recently, but they’re dedicated raffle sites, and everyone has the choice to enter if they wish. Everyones at it, eventually they’ll over saturate, but for not fair play make some money. However, the Youtube video’s Ive been enjoying for years now, just seem a bit tarnished by this constant ‘YOU CAN WIN THIS RC!!’. Dont get me wrong, I understand why theyre doing it, they’re making mega money for stuff they dont want anymore (dont forget its not all profit, Im sure these cost time and money to set up and promote, and there’s obviously a cut going to Rafall) Id do the same if my mortgage relied on it. Id just rather it not dominate the videos I used to enjoy.

  17. I quite often buy 1 ticket, after all it only takes i ticket to win. There is a local to us company called Bounty Giveaways (we knew the girl that runs it from years ago, she did my wifes hair when we got married) they started off during the first lockdown as she could not work and being self employed had no income, so her and her other half started the company, it started off with i think 3 hot tubs and now they are giving away houses and lamborginies and have become millionaires in the process, my wife always buys 1 ticket for the big draws, but they do always have little draws too for like 50p a ticket where you can get a dyson hoover and stuff like that. They quite often have a very interesting draw where there is a minimum amount of cash you can win, but the more tickets thats sold the more you can win goes up by which i think is the best way to do these sort of raffles

  20. So. Took a fair few of them out: The E Revo was ballistic. Forgot how fast it was! The Maxx needs some ESC calibration but was faultless. Featuring a DJI drone, Im awaiting footage fro. The drone Then time for the GOATs. The XRT and the X Maxx Great day. No breakages. Other than me! My girlfriend accidently reversed into my leg with the X Maxx, knocked me over, Banged and cut my face on thr floor. At least that repair wont cost me any money.

  22. Here we are in the flesh at the 2022 RC truck National Gathering. Apart from having to glue the tyres on the front after pulling one off the rim whilst turning lock to lock in a 3 point turn, it performed faultlessly, a really big thank you to Doug for making it all happen and pushing me to finish it. That TS12 orange definitely didn’t get ordered Wednesday lunch, painted Thursday lunch, and driven up the A1 Friday lunch… Some real variety here, check out this video for an idea. Loads of really powerful heavy and outright expensive construction trucks at the show, the double action loading was fabulous👍 Obviously there was a working weighbridge too 😳 The articulated tipper wagon for followed behind me went 21kg loaded - thats a bag of cement! Obviously it wasn’t all plain sailing on the rough stuff, but It did pretty good - only the front bumper approach kept acting like a shovel and digging in, though I was surprised quite how capable it was if you kept the throttle in! Yes I did drive up this excavator made mountain unaided 😎 The show was great, even though we only stayed a day, well worth a visit if you have a truck, people were really friendly and easy going and happily answered any daft questions whilst chewing the fat. The pair of us really enjoyed ourselves.
